    Ten Reflections on Ten Years at Daxtra 1. The view changes when you stick around. Watching strategies unfold over years gives you insights you can't get from the quick wins. 2. You actually get to see if your "brilliant ideas" were brilliant or just ideas. Spoiler: Watching those ideas play out over 10 years is... enlightening/humbling 🫢 . 3. Growth comes in unexpected forms. My role has evolved greatly over the years, showing that staying put doesn't mean standing still. 4. High average tenure - which at Daxtra is the norm not the exception, means either the culture is amazing or we're all too comfortable. At Daxtra, it's both - plus the freedom to craft your own path and work with amazing people! (Yes I am looking at you...) 5. The best opportunities sometimes find you. I've shaped my role around emerging business needs rather than chasing predetermined paths. 6. Understanding the 'why' behind processes is invaluable. That knowledge transfers anywhere, making you more effective at driving change. 7. Career paths are rarely linear. Post 25 years since graduation, mine resembles more a game of Chutes and Ladders. 🛝 & 🪜 But...the freedom to explore different areas has helped me develop a unique blend of skills and perspectives. 8. Those long-term work relationships hit different. Nothing bonds people like shared trauma...umm, I mean, challenges, err...opportunities...and navigating those ... together.. 😨 🥳 9. Growing with a company lets you spot opportunities others might miss. You develop instincts that only experience can teach. 10. Professional growth isn't about location - it's about impact.
