📢 Today, Google launched the London AI Campus. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer joined us — to show his support for this groundbreaking initiative. The Campus, situated in Somers Town, Camden, has been developed in partnership with Camden Council & Camden Learning and is home to a two-year educational enrichment program aimed to help inspire, inform, and educate local sixth form students in the field of #AI. Our goal? To ensure that a future career or studies in STEM are accessible to everyone, regardless of background. Highlights of this pilot include: 💻 Access to cutting-edge resources on AI and machine learning for students 🤓 Access to mentoring & industry expertise from Google and other Knowledge Quarter businesses 📄 Work on real-world projects which connect AI to diverse fields (e.g., social sciences, the arts) to allow them to explore the range of challenges that AI can be used to address. We have also announced a Google.org grant of over £865,000 — which will support the Raspberry Pi Foundation to work with ParentZone to scale the Experience AI programme, offering crucial training resources for the UK’s teachers. You can learn more about the initial offering and plans for the future here https://lnkd.in/ewTY6Ab4

Our plans for the Technology & Innovation Hub at the former White Hart in South Mimms reflect exactly what this video highlights - creating opportunities for everyone. It’s not just about training younger generations in the latest tech but also re-skilling older generations, ensuring everyone can stay connected and navigate our fast-changing world. We couldn’t agree more: no one should be left behind! #InnovationForEveryone #DigitalInclusion #SouthMimms #Tech #AI #Technology #Education
No one should be left behind when it comes to getting the right digital skills. BGfm Community Radio, supported by the Good Things Foundation, provides the technology and training local residents in South Wales need, opening up opportunities to try out what they have learnt. Secretary of State Peter Kyle and Minister Chris Bryant MP met with some of their hosts to see the difference being made, and even had time to get on the air with some song requests 📻
