🌟 We’re excited to be at the Sri Guru Ramdas Gurdwara alongside Leicester City Council today hosting a MECC (Making Every Contact Count) and co-production event in collaboration with local partners. We’re connecting with the community, raising awareness of health topics and listening to the needs of local residents to ensure our health services are tailored to truly meet those needs. By working hand-in-hand with faith leaders, community members, and local authorities, we are: ✅ Promoting awareness of essential health services ✅ Fostering a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and needs of the local community ✅ Co-producing health services that reflect the values, culture, and priorities of the people we serve Health starts with community, and we’re proud to be engaging directly with those at the heart of Leicester’s vibrant Sikh community today. Together, we’re building healthier, more inclusive services that leave no one behind. Thank you to everyone who’s stopped by to share their thoughts, join the conversation, and make every contact count. #CoProduction #CommunityEngagement #HealthAwareness #MECC #Leicester #CulturalCompetence

I’m so excited to be able to finally share that our specialist weight management service Gro Health W8Buddy has been awarded a share of £7.8m from the NIHR (National Institute for Health and Care Research) and Office for Life Sciences (OLS) to conduct groundbreaking research led by Petra Hanson comparing how our NICE-approved digital weight management tool performs against traditional NHS specialist weight management services. This is the culmination of many years of collaborative hard work and to have such prestigious organisations funding this research is testament to both the team and the innovation that can genuinely revolutionise how we approach weight management and support patients on their journey to better health. https://lnkd.in/eJ-euTr8 University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust Warwick Medical School DDM Health Gro Health #DigitalHealth #Innovation #WeightManagement #HealthcareTransformation #DDMHealth

🌟 Read our collaboration with Amsterdam UMC and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam exploring how adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes manage diabetes distress. 📝 Key findings: 1️⃣ Problem-focused strategies were the most frequently used and considered most useful. 2️⃣ Emotion-focused strategies (like “Expressing my emotions”) were less commonly used and perceived as less helpful. 3️⃣ Differences emerged in the strategies used by individuals experiencing low vs. high diabetes distress. A huge thank you to the community for sharing their lived experiences and contributing to this impactful research! #DiabetesDistress #DiabetesResearch #PatientEmpowerment https://lnkd.in/e_GKAmwz
