    Welcome to: The Debenhams Day Spa With Autumn being big for beauty it felt only right that Debenhams went bigger, better and bolder in this space than ever before to take over the world-famous ancient spa baths, AIRE, in London’s Covent Garden. This iconic 18th Century townhouse (in which the author of Peter Pan, JM Barrie, resided) became the backdrop for a unique, luxurious experience that allowed us to deliver something truly extraordinary for our attendees. At Debenhams, we are committed to creating meaningful experiences that push boundaries and add real value to our community. The Debenhams Day Spa was a perfect example of this vision, welcoming over 80 of our most valued customers, press, and talent to indulge in a day of relaxation - Debenhams style. In a first for AIRE, we took over the entire ancient spa baths and treatment rooms, transforming the space into a sanctuary of luxury. This allowed us to provide an exclusive, unforgettable experience, featuring a range of premium treatments from our trusted beauty brands: - Massages & Facials by Clarins - Facials from Kiehls and Decree - Fragrance Matching with L’Oréal Designer Fragrances - Express manicures from OPI - Bodycare from Korres - Personalised diagnostic tools from Revieve Later in the day, Salon 64 joined us to offer additional treatments and styling, rounding out the days pampering. A select group of guests also had the chance to attend an exclusive beauty masterclass with Debenhams and MAC, followed by a private dinner at The Ivy Asia. We hope everyone enjoyed their time at Debenhams Day Spa. Stay tuned for more opportunities to be a part of the Debenhams brand as we head into an exciting season.     Yesterday I welcomed over 150 of our trusted brands and partners to Debenhams in Manchester for my inaugural Debenhams Partner Conference. We’re definitely going to need a bigger venue for the next one… Our message is simple: supercharge your peak performance with Debenhams this Christmas. Get onboard, start selling, extend your assortment with us, leverage our onsite retail media, speed up delivery and get involved in our biggest ever Christmas campaign. During the day… It was great to catch up with new Guinness World Record holder Spencer Matthews CleanCo, who revealed how sheer determination helped him finish the Great Desert Challenge. Spencer discussed how preparation was key as “to go out and suffer wasn’t really high on my agenda,” reminding us all how vital strategy and planning are. Our beauty panel led by journalist Lauretta Roberts was energising and inspiring. Joined by a selection of incredible Brand Founders: DR ATEH JEWEL, HonDmedia, Niamh Ryan Charlene Flanagan and Dominika Minarovic, who brought the passion to a truly insightful conversation. Mark Heyes hosted a panel of experts from across the fashion industry. The inspiring David Walker-Smith, was joined by brand founder Joanne Watkinson and journalist and broadcaster Sarah Jossel as they discussed the upcoming AW trends and changes across the retail environment. It was wonderful to hear from some of our marketplace community partners: Mahavir N. (Where’s that from), Michael Joules (Pertemba), Kora Habinakova (John Cotton Group) and Katie L. (Morphy Richards) as they shared their great experiences with host Chris Dawson on the Debenhams marketplace. We’re delighted to be growing our businesses together. We were joined by Britain’s greatest ever Olympians and multi-gold medallist winners, Jason Kenny & Laura Kenny, who shared with us the importance of maximising time, all the time. Our journey continues as we build a bigger, better, bolder Debenhams. Thank you to our partners for your partnership, to our team for putting on such an incredible event and our customers for shopping with us. We are pioneering what I am calling “Collaborative Commerce”. Our next Partner Conference is locked in for 19th March in Manchester.     LFG 🚀 Back, refreshed from holiday. Super inspired from seeing Team GB at the Olympics in Paris, recharged from incredible time with the family and now hyper focused on our peak trading period ahead. This Wednesday (11th September), I will be welcoming our teams and partners to our inaugural Debenhams Partner Conference in Manchester (the home of Oasis - more about that later) to accelerate our peak preparations. We will be welcoming Britain’s greatest ever Olympian Sir Jason Kenny (winner of 7 Olympic gold medals) and joining him will be Dame Laura Kenny Britain’s greatest female Olympian – the winner of 5 Olympic gold medals. We will be drawing inspiration from our special guests and taking tips of how to perform at our peak. Like many of you after a long summer, I am planning on getting back into training with the goal of running my first marathon next year. Who better to draw inspiration from than the man who took it to the extreme, Spencer Matthews CleanCo, who just set a new world record for running 30 marathons in 30 days. We’re excited by the progress we continue to make at Debenhams, we look forward to welcoming many of you at Debenhams House in Manchester this week, where two of our guests will also win tickets to see Oasis next summer and we will all be raising a glass of champagne (supernova).     Last night, the Debenhams team attended the very first TheIndustry.beauty The Innovators Awards – and I’m really happy to announce that we are now the proud winners of The Digital Experience Award. It is extremely rewarding to be recognised for our contribution in such a competitive industry, made up of some phenomenally innovative brands. In the last year, we've enhanced our user experience solutions through the introduction of our skincare & haircare diagnostic tools and virtual makeup try-ons, welcomed back some of the most notable Debenhams heritage brands (including Estée Lauder, MAC, Clarins and more), and welcomed some innovative Indie brands (such as Allies of Skin, Made by Mitchell, Decree and Dizziak) to the Debenhams family too. These are fantastic milestones and we’ve come a long way in a short time. But we’re just getting started in creating a truly bespoke digital shopping experience tailored to the needs of each and every one of our customers. A huge thanks to all our brands and partners for helping us to create such a diverse online community.
