Meet the husband and wife team behind Delhicious, an award winning Indian Ayurvedic brand which has taken the social media world by storm, winning awards and creating natural products that truly work. With humble beginnings, Delhicious was founded by husband and wife team Zak and Zara in 2019 with one product which they handmade in their kitchen. Zara’s South Asian roots exposed her to all kinds of natural beauty tips & tricks throughout life, like turmeric for acne and coconut oil for dry scalp which had been passed down from her Indian grandmother. When she experienced dry skin during her pregnancy, she turned to these natural solutions to help her skin. Zara’s own dry skin issues pushed her to research & experiment with Ayurvedic principles and recipes, finding relief for dry dull skin in the form of a unique black tea based exfoliator. The couple decided to introduce the scrub to the world as the first ever Delhicious product with one scrappy website and one product launch, the husband and wife team grew the brand with little to no marketing spend. The Black Tea Body Scrub was very quickly featured as the highlight product in Glossybox’s Delhicious Beauty edit.
