I had a spectacular time at the Dentistry Shows over the weekend at ExCeL London! Aside from the amazing time I had connecting with my dental colleagues and being given a fantastic opportunity to be a speaker and share my research once again with my dental colleagues, I learnt the powerful guide of the intuition! The event was a total success and my presentation received overwhelming feedback and support, however there were several obstacles that I faced and several times where I wasn’t sure if it was going to work out. I was working closely with the CloserStill Media team for some time before to arrange a slot and I was told at one point they may not be able to fit me in and it may not happen! But there was a magnetic pull within me that compelled me to continue asking and enquiring, until finally I was given a slot to present in the DCP lounge. The week before the actual event, I had several doubts come up. It had been a tiring week and I contemplated not going several times - but my heart guided me to go anyway. Anytime I had any doubt I would tap into my heart for guidance and I had a compelling feeling to go every single time! Intuition is a powerful guide and it has never failed me! I came across many further obstacles on the day - several trains were cancelled that day due to an unfortunate fatality on the train lines, coupled with my son crying and telling me he wanted to come with me - I was torn from several angles but deep inside my heart, I just knew I had to go! And so I did! I managed to get there just in time for my slot! Even though it was a last minute slot and wasn’t advertised, I was so blown away with the turn-out! I had delegates sitting on the floor in front of me just to hear me present and take pictures of my lecture slides! Delegates standing from every side just to hear me share my research. Delegates approaching me and sharing their gratitude for my presentation. I am truly so grateful that fellow dental professionals connect with the revolutionary research as much as I did. That dentists were inspired and motivated the same way I was. And I’m so fortunate to be in a position to share my knowledge and experience to help other dental professionals the same way this exciting research helped me!
