Happy New Year from the whole DCM team!! Thank you for your continued support 🙏 As we enter 2025, we are filled with hope and anticipation for the work God will continue to do through us. We know there is still much to be done, but with His guidance and your continued support, we trust that we will be able to make an even greater impact for His Kingdom. Together, we will continue to bring hope, healing, and the message of Christ’s love to those who need it most. May God bless you richly in the year ahead. Thank you for standing with us, and we look forward to all He will do in and through us in 2025.

Passionate about seeing people thrive. Working with local business, churches and community to transform lives together.
About us
We are a Christian charity with over 30 years of experience. We started supporting the homeless, poor and needy in 1989, founded initially as a debt advice service and were the first food bank nationwide. Uniquely, our strength comes from an army of over 500 volunteers who, often through the love of Jesus and strong compassion for the poor and most vulnerable, bring hope and support to those who need it most. From delivering the good news of Jesus to children in schools to providing a meeting place for historic street drinkers or warm food and a safe place to sleep for the homeless, we aim to meet people wherever they are on their journey in life. We are a stepping stone in the right direction driven by prayer, compassion and action. We take a holistic approach in all we do so our partner churches and agencies are fantastic at supporting each client or guest, forging relationships and never giving up. We couldn’t transform lives without doing so in partnership.

There's still time to give to our Christmas appeal! We serve rough sleepers, ex-prisoners, and those battling addiction through our projects Storehouse, Safe Space, The Ark, By My Side and My Place, along with the Community Shop. We will use your Christmas gift where it will most help people in need across our projects. Thanks for your generosity 🙏 Donate now and bring someone in from the cold: https://lnkd.in/d2MpDw84

We couldn’t do what we do without our amazing volunteers! It was such a pleasure to gather everyone together in the Community Café last week to celebrate another brilliant year of hard work helping the people of Derby. Thanks to the LOCA quintet for their festive music, and to The Mayor of Derby, Councillor Ged Potter, for being in attendance. What a lovely morning😊

These are just some of the many gifts and presents we received this year - thank you to everyone who donated and arranged gift collections. We couldn’t do it without you!

Our SafeSpace accommodation service was highlighted this week in a special piece on the BBC. Click below to read about how SafeSpace has helped to reduce mortality rates among Derby's street community by 80% since 2019. It costs £54 to give someone a bed for the night at Safe Space. You can help keep this and all our services running by giving to our Christmas Appeal: https://lnkd.in/d2MpDw84
