Groundbreaking ceremony held on 12th July 2024 for Hinckley’s new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) WT Birmingham are working on the CDC project with Joshua Sandbach providing Project Management and Peter Stanway providing Quantity Surveyor services. The ceremony was attended by NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB), University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, NHS Property Services Ltd, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, contractors Darwin Group, designers Design Buro (Coventry) Ltd, Dr Luke Evans MP and WT amongst others. This milestone marks the start of construction work to build a £24.6 million facility, providing CT and MRI scans, endoscopy, X-ray and ultrasound facilities at the Hinckley and District Community Hospital. This investment in health services is one of only 40 to be awarded nationally by NHS funding in England. The new Hinckley Community Diagnostic Centre facilities will be spread over two floors with total GIFA of 2,080m2. The project is due for completion early 2025 and fully operational shortly after. The superb new facility replaces a smaller, outdated building and will enable people to access diagnostic tests much closer to their homes, in a community setting. #HinckleyCDC #ICB #UniversityHospitalsofLeicesterNHSTrust #HinckleyandBosworthBoroughCouncil #WTBirmingham #WTPartnership

We are proud to have completed work at the Halcyon Antenatal Hub in Smethwick for Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust. The project involved a re-design of an existing Birthing Centre to create a new antenatal natal hub to help provide antenatal care and consultation for patients as well as providing staff accommodation and training facilities. The project oversaw the delivery of 6 new consultation/examination rooms, a new training and meeting room, a new staff hub and also saw the refurbishment of ancillary staff support accommodation in tandem with updating existing mechanical and electrical services. The project was successfully completed with support and collaboration from the Trust and end users, as well as BSN Group Construction, Shipley Weston Electrical and Clancy Consulting.

We are pleased to announce the completion of Lillington Heath Hub which was delivered in collaboration with SWFT Clinical Services Ltd, with whom James Saunders & Helen Whinray have worked closely on at Design Buro. This is a new purpose-built multi-disciplinary health centre, that joins together primary care, secondary care and community services to generate a streamlined and truly integrated healthcare service, that offers the promotion of living well to the community. Lillington Health Hub has been designed to achieve BREEAM excellent to maximise the passive design principles and reduce the need for energy within the scheme, capturing the use of natural light and passive ventilation wherever possible. This has helped form an environment that encourages patients to feel relaxed and calm whilst keeping the space fresh and light. This project would not have been possible without the client team built up of Greenway and Partners Ltd, GHW Consulting Engineers Ltd, Osbornes (Quantity Surveyors) Ltd and of course the site team DEELEY CONSTRUCTION LIMITED
