On Wednesday, 19th February 2025, we brought together Madrid based designers, creatives and cultural producers for our first Design Declares meet-up to encourage dialogue and conversation about design led climate action in Spain. Inspired by the energy of the Madrid Design Festival, Alexie Sommer hosted the gathering at Mo de Movimiento beautifully and sustainably designed by Lucas Muñoz . Thanks to Daniel H. Rey for connecting and everyone who joined. This is the beginning of the conversation and we hope Design Declares Spain will emerge. Watch this space... If you’re a Spain based designer - and want to get connected please get in touch.

Designing with a conscience means considering those most affected by both the climate crisis and the transition to a low-carbon world. The seventh act of Design Declares focuses on integrating environmental justice into our work. By supporting and partnering with organizations advocating for equality, we can create designs that truly make a difference. Let’s design for justice, and for all. #designdeclares #designforchange #designforjustice #sustainabledesign
