The NordDesign conference, a key event in engineering design, focused on ‘Design with/for/by AI,’ offering a fantastic platform for invaluable discussions within The Design Society. Introducing the newest addition to our Special Interest Groups (SIGs), a new website dedicated to the SIG will soon be available!

It was an honor to present our published paper about Co-Design and AI last week to The Design Society's Engineering and Product Design Education Conference held at Aston University in Birmingham England. Collaborating with Addie Payne Morgan and Bryan Howell has been such a rewarding experience. Thank you to all who took part in our condensed Vizcom paper experience. #EPDE at Aston University was a great success! It was also showtime as I presented the fully functioning Artificial Design Tutor. The Design Society’s #design #education track, themed ”Rise of the machines,” inspired numerous innovative ideas. I was thrilled to contribute with a total of four papers and a workshop, in collaboration with Ross Brisco, where we set out to map the current AI terrain in Design Education. Besides meeting up with dear colleagues and connecting with new ones, the biggest takeaway was an incredible surge of energy. Read more about the ADT here: https://lnkd.in/d8-ePpPD

I was privileged to host the 26th Engineering and Product Design Education (E&PDE) conference at Aston University in Design Factory Birmingham Aston University The theme, Design Education in the Generative AI era was timely and led to many great discussions and contributions from 140 delegates across the world 🌎 Special thanks to the Institution of Engineering Designers and The Design Society Importantly this couldn't happen without a fantastic team.
