🔓 Unlocking Digital Efficiency with GenAI: Why Agentic Workflows Are Transformative Digital adoption is the cornerstone of process efficiency, unlocking hundreds of thousands of wasted productivity hours for organizations. Yet, scaling adoption practices across an entire technology stack remains a daunting challenge. Enter GenAI, AI agents, and agentic workflows—game-changing innovations reshaping how we integrate technology into daily operations. Unlike traditional workflows, which depend on manual intervention, static training modules, and generic processes, agentic workflows are dynamic and personalized. Powered by GenAI, these workflows leverage intelligent digital agents embedded across software systems. These agents adapt in real-time to user needs, offering contextual guidance, automating repetitive tasks, and ensuring 24/7 support. The benefits are staggering. GenAI-driven adoption accelerates user onboarding, reduces friction, and increases proficiency without disrupting workflows. Employees experience fewer interruptions, while organizations see faster ROI on digital investments. What used to take weeks or months—mastering new tools—now happens seamlessly, with AI agents serving as on-demand coaches. This approach also fosters better utilization of existing technology. Tools that previously gathered dust are now intuitive and indispensable, thanks to adaptive AI assistance. The overarching impact is transformative: higher productivity, streamlined processes, and a workforce empowered by smarter systems. The shift to agentic workflows signals a new era of digital adoption. This isn’t just an upgrade to how we train; it’s a redefinition of how humans and technology collaborate. Are agentic workflows the key to unlocking your organization’s digital potential? #DigitalTransformation #GenAI #AIinBusiness #DigitalAdoption #EnterpriseInnovation #CIO

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 – 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 When it comes to digital adoption, friction is the silent killer of productivity. Long training sessions, high learning curves, and lack of on-demand support all create barriers that keep employees from adopting tools effectively. With AI-driven agentic workflows, we’re moving from friction to flow. These intelligent agents deliver contextual, real-time assistance embedded directly within digital tools. Users get the guidance they need as they work - no classroom sessions, no manual searching for answers. Think of it as having a personal coach for every employee, available 24/7. This model significantly shortens learning curves, reduces support tickets, and allows team members to gain competency as they go. For leaders, this means faster onboarding, more empowered teams, and lower operational costs. It’s a powerful shift that transforms digital adoption from a costly, time-consuming process into a smooth, effortless experience. And the result? Higher productivity and better ROI on technology investments. The Crow’s nest is empty, no one has the widest field of view! People at the top often seem to be excused from responsibility for things that happen on their watch but in the case of productive time lost through digital technology at work, the simple reality is that there is no one on watch, we don’t have a lookout, no one person owns the number. The number in question is; the total amount of time (potential productivity time) lost by organizations as a direct result of digital transformation. This is the total number across all the technology platforms that underpin both back office, and front office business processes. Research published by WalkMe (The State of Digital Adoption 2024) revealed that the amount of time an employee spends compensating for poor technology experiences is 353 hours per year. In the UK, that represents a staggering 22% of the total amount of time that an employee has at work in a year (avg: 1,650 hrs). What a difference it would make to performance if you could ‘take that time back’. Whilst all the hype today is around transformative technologies such as Generative AI and how it can boost productivity, organizations are losing millions of hours every day through challenges with workplace technology and clunky processes. Dealing with this leakage is critical to achieving a state of hyper-productivity. A different mindset is needed, together with shift in the role of digital adoption and a strong ‘C-suite’ leader for the Crow’s nest. #digitaladoption #digitaltransformation #digitalisation #digitaladoptionadvisor

Time is money, and our mission is to help customers keep every second of valuable time in their businesses to use productively. Yet, what truly fills us with joy is witnessing the transformative impact of digital adoption on individuals' work experiences and the profound changes they undergo in their digital journeys. Equally fulfilling is seeing a decrease in technology support costs and analysing data that demonstrates the seamless execution of digital tasks—almost instinctively—without any frustration. While our primary focus is on delivering tangible value, it’s the intangible benefits that make digital adoption best practice worthwhile for everybody. #digitaladoption #digitaltasks #techadoption #digitaladoptionadvisor #digitaltransformation #digitilisation #digitilization

We’re helping to write a new story about digitalization. A story that doesn’t finish with organisations trying to make up for thousands of hours of lost time. No more tales of woe at every change to existing tech, or the misery of organisation wide digital transformation. It won’t include horror stories of people beginning to despise the job they once loved because of the hoops they have to jump through to compensate for failing processes at work, or the time wasted waiting for someone to respond to a request for support or the evenings spent completing tasks they get couldn’t get done at work. The story now being told is about getting wise to the difference between chasing the clock trying to make up for time lost to poor digital experiences to a hyperfocus on taking back precious time before its lost. Yes, taking back time BEFORE you lose it. How does that make sense? It requires the collection and visualisation of data that focuses on time, and a shift in perception around the value of time, every second of it! The arc of the new story centres on the most valuable asset that all organisations possess, their people and time. Just by changing the narrative around the value of time you can start telling a different story about hyper-productivity and competitive strength. #digitaladoptionadvisor #digitaltransformation #digitalstrategy #digitaladoption #techadoption #digitilization #digitilisation

Time to Take Back Time! On average 22% of a full-time employee's productive time is seeping through the cracks. Lost productivity time is like a swarm congregating across an organization’s business processes and enabling technologies that eats away at the bottom line. A few seemingly harmless seconds, or minutes lost here and there can easily fool you into thinking that it’s too small to matter. Scaled up across an entire workforce, covering all technologies and processes, it can amount to hundreds of thousands, even millions of lost productivity time that can never be recovered. A recent survey of more than 4,000 executives and employees found that a full time employee will typically spend as many as 353 hours, or 44 working days a year compensating for technology challenges at work. Assuming employees have 1,650 working hours available annually (220 days a year at 7.5hrs/day), that’s a whopping 22% of a full time employee’s productivity time lost to digitalization. In other words, one in every five full time employee's productivity contribution is negated by workplace technology issues. This is impacting business performance, and is a key contributor to McKinsey and Gartner's research which reports that more than over 75% of all digital transformation initiatives ‘fail to deliver the expected value’. With over 90% of enterprise leaders stressing the need to enhance productivity to stay competitive, identifying lost productivity hours and recovering them back to the business is now not an option, it’s an imperative. #digitaladoptionadvisor #digitaltransformation #digitalstrategy #digitaladoption #techadoption

Is it time for digital adoption to accelerate up the value curve? The seeds for the evolution of digital adoption were planted well over a decade ago with a mother’s difficulties completing an online banking transaction and grumbles at a major software vendors customer conference in Barcelona. By the end of 2011 digital adoption solutions were helping consumers, employees and managers to engage better with B2B and B2C technology and by 2019 Gartner duly recognised the discipline by announcing the Digital Adoption Solutions technology category. Thank you Melissa Hilbert. You can think of Digital Adoption as a value driver in two ways, from a people perspective or a from process perspective. Thus far it’s been primarily people lead, deployed as a way to improve digital experiences. Training, learning, education, engagement, and content strategy are at the forefront of most practitioners day to day thoughts and few would argue that digital adoption solutions have delivered huge benefits to those organizations that have embraced it and will continue to do so going forward. But we’ve really only just got started, digital adoption has much more to offer. It is able to deliver significantly higher value if viewed from a process improvement perspective and for me, it is without doubt the critical enabler to achieving increased productivity and bottom line performance. Digital adoption is a proven solution for fixing broken and failing business processes and I believe it is the key to unlock vast amounts of untapped productivity which has simply fallen through the cracks as a result of digitalization. Whether processes are simple and contained within a single functional application (HR, CRM etc.) or more complex end-to-end processes like ‘order to cash’ or ‘procure to pay’ there are literally 100,000s of hours, possibly even millions of hours (depending on company size), that could be recovered and monetized by most organizations. My POV: Yes it is essential for digital adoption to elevate its value proposition. We need to move from siloed pockets of ROI successes that rarely get noticed to accumulated value measured across a broader technology landscape. And boy do we all need to celebrate it, we need to shout loudly about the value that digital adoption excellence creates, because it can be huge and it’s real. So, what is the killer metric? What is the one number that will get attention? Check out my next post, or check out our website (link in comments), it’s all over it!
