The festive period can be a hard time of year for many. So it’s great to see colleagues at our Basingstoke office using their Volunteer Day to create much-needed Christmas hampers for local people in food poverty this December. Our Diligenta volunteers (L-R) Taimoor Saif, Milind Dhuru, Helen Johns, Jo Walton and Sameer Sagoo worked together to wrap and pack donations for Basingstoke Food Bank’s Christmas Hamper Project. Our charitable giving at Diligenta hit new heights recently! An intrepid team of 12 colleagues from our Kildean office hiked up Schiehallion, one of Scotland’s Munros, for nominated office charity #ANDYSMANCLUB; heading out into some wet and wild Scottish weather conditions! 🏔 Diligenta colleague Allister Weir explained: “As we ascended the rocky steps of the mountain, the weather cleared, unveiling some breathtaking views of the neighbouring Grampian mountains. "We had a fantastic time: despite sporting some sore legs and getting soaked to the bone, we raised an amazing £1,460+ for the charity, nearly 300% of our original goal!" As part of our approach to charitable giving, all our people can take a volunteer day each year to help give back to their local communities and raise funds...   Colleagues from our Commercial Relationship team in Bristol recently gave up their time to support The Julian Trust Night Shelter, which provides vital service to the city's homeless.   Our volunteers provided the ingredients for meals for around 80 guests, and spent time cooking and serving, as well as helping to hand out donated clothes.   Diligenta’s Suzanne Crockett said: "It was an extremely rewarding experience, bringing the team together to help a local charity that supports some of the most vulnerable people in our society, with the offer of human contact and meeting their basic needs."   Pictured (L-R) are Roger Moore, Danny Wilson, Elisa Tommasini Morgan, Suzanne Crockett and Emma Cherry. This Men's Health Awareness Month, we’re sharing stories around our business to raise awareness and inclusivity, listen to people’s lived experiences and signpost support for all our colleagues 💚 We held a brilliant session yesterday where two colleagues shared their personal and honest experiences of mental health. Later in November, we’ll be hearing from a senior leader talking about positive role models and men's health.
