Long service champion - Krzysztof Litwin 🏆 To celebrate our 20th birthday, we spoke to Head of Procurement, Krzysztof Litwin, about Distinction Doors' commitment to employee development and drive. This capacity for personal development underpins Krzysztof’s favourite part of working at Distinction. “There is no such thing as standing still,” continues Krzysztof. “You are constantly moving and conferring with different departments. Not one day is the same." Distinction Doors has evolved over the past decade, changing from a predominantly warehouse business into a manufacturing facility offering prep, paint and glazing services. Despite this significant evolution, the company has retained its ‘family feel’. “Everyone is warm and welcoming,” continues, Krzysztof. “We all go out of way to make everyone feel included and valued.” This, Krzysztof believes is also true of the company culture. "At Distinction, you’re not just doing a 9 – 5; for many this is more than a job and that commitment is proven through loyalty, dedication, and long service.”

Long service champion - Mark Taylor 🏆 As Distinction Doors marks its 20th anniversary, it is a chance to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our staff. There is no better way to do that than speaking to one of our longest serving staff members, Health & Safety Coordinator, Mark Taylor. “We always have a good mix of people, all ages from different backgrounds and cultures. We’re like an extended family. There are people here who even on a down day can make you smile." Mark attributes his long service to his colleagues and Distinction’s commitment to employee welfare. “Distinction sees the importance in taking care of its workforce, even through tough times such as the pandemic the priority has always been the welfare of the people.” And it is this care and concern which motivates Mark. “I like people, and if I can ensure they leave work safe, well and uninjured, then I’ve achieved my goal. This is my daily motivation.”

And that's a wrap on Distinction Doors turning 20 🎂 What a successful day it was! To celebrate this monumental achievement for the business, as well as the dedication and determination of our staff members, we enjoyed complimentary birthday cupcakes and a food van serving delicious hot food throughout the day. It went down a treat! We also distributed the 20th-anniversary newsletter to everyone's desk this morning, offering a nostalgic glimpse back through the years to see the progress and changes we have made. This was a lovely memento and token of appreciation for everyone who works here. We look forward to seeing what the next 20 years will bring!

Distinction Doors turns 20! 🎈 It started in 2004 with the launch of our warehouse offering supplying GRP composite door blanks to UK door fabricators and now, two decades later we are celebrating our journey of unrivalled growth...
