🚨 We’ve all been guilty of overworking ourselves. At Do it Now Now, we’ve seen firsthand how the pressure to “keep up” often pushes founders and professionals into cycles of stress and exhaustion. We’re learning to do things differently—choosing well-being, healthy work habits, and sustainable success over burnout. This isn’t just an individual choice—it’s a shift that needs to happen across industries and communities. 💡 Our latest blog explores how workplaces can embed well-being into their culture—because no one should have to choose between success and self-care. https://lnkd.in/eM7fnXiu

Do it Now Now is an open innovation organisation committed to the social empowerment of Black communities.
About us
Do it Now Now is a non-profit, open innovation organisation driven by the desire to bring social empowerment to Black communities, historically excluded from mainstream systems of support, across the globe. We run six core programs to achieve our mission: AfriTech XYZ: A virtual accelerator program for African tech entrepreneurs. The program matches founders with mentors across the globe and the networks they need to build tech that will contribute to a better future for Africa. Black and Good: a peer-to-peer support program that engages Black leaders both online and offline. We work with hundreds of people each year and collaborate with leading companies to share resources and tools with our members. Centre Black: a new research centre committed to the production of high-quality research and advocacy that centres the experiences of Black people across the UK. The research empowers community leaders to become thought-leaders. Common Call: a grant fund that supports Black entrepreneurs and innovators in the UK who are building businesses and charities with a social-impact. Our goal is to make it easier for people with lived experiences of key issues, to build and sustain social enterprises. My Moon Landing: A ground-breaking London wide program that identifies and support the leadership development of Black women, LGBTQ+ and non-binary people. We catalyse community development by developing grassroots leaders to better serve their constituencies. Voltage Revolution: a programme working with young Black people not in education or employment, to help them build a career in the UK's creative and tech sectors. Through mentorship, resources and training, we help our community reach their goals.

🗣️ Why do Black women have to fight harder to be heard in business? From being ignored in meetings to facing harsher scrutiny in negotiations, the reality of misogynoir is something too many Black women experience—especially in the business world. At Do it Now Now, we believe no one should have to navigate these challenges alone. Change happens when we support each other, amplify voices, and advocate for fairer systems. 📢 Our latest blog explores how we can push back against these biases, own our voices, and uplift each other in business spaces. 💬 What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a Black woman stepping into a high-stakes pitch or negotiation? Let’s share knowledge! https://lnkd.in/e2tpq8uD

💡 Success isn’t just about hard work—it’s about networks. For too long, Black women founders have been shut out of key business spaces. The boys’ club mentality still dominates decision-making rooms, funding circles, and leadership networks. But here’s the truth: We don’t need their club. We can build our own. At Do it Now Now, we believe in community, collaboration, and co-ownership of success. Our latest blog shares how Black women founders can create and leverage powerful networks to access funding, mentorship, and strategic opportunities. 💬 What’s one way we can better support Black women in business? Drop your thoughts below! ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/eJPGe8D9

🔥 We don’t need performative allyship—we need real policy change. Black-led social enterprises are: 💡 Innovating solutions for systemic inequalities 💡 Driving economic and social change 💡 Creating opportunities where others see barriers But too often, government policies fail to reflect their needs, limiting access to funding, business support, and recognition. 🚀 At Do it Now Now, we believe in action, not just conversation. Our latest blog shares how policy must evolve to reflect the lived realities of Black-led organisations. 💬 What’s one piece of advice you’d give to policymakers on supporting Black-led social enterprises?
