Four dMFK projects have been shortlisted in this year's AJ Architecture Awards, Architects’ Journal's annual showcase of the very best built projects in the UK. ⭐ The Former Nestlé Factory, which provides 400 homes across six buildings within Barratt London's regeneration of the Nestle factory site in Hayes, has been shortlisted in the housing category. ⭐ Chancery House, a workplace-defining 150,000 sqft retrofit and extension with interiors delivered in collaboration with Norm Architects for Fora, has been shortlisted in the workplace category. ⭐ 45 Whitfield Street, the reimagination of a 1970s office block in Fitzrovia for Derwent London, has been shortlisted in the refurbishment category. ⭐ Voysey House, the restoration and repurposing of CFA Voysey's iconic former wallpaper factory for Dorrington PLC and the returning original occupiers Sanderson Design Group plc., has been shortlisted in the heritage category. In the Heritage project category, Voysey House by dMFK for Dorrington PLC. In the Infrastructure and Transport Project Brent Cross West Station by Studio Egret West and shedkm for Related Argent. dMFK has completed the retrofit of Temple Chambers, a historic seven-storey office block located in Blackfriars. It neighbours dMFK project Hamilton House, which was also delivered for our longstanding clients and collaborators Dorrington PLC. We have refurbished the 91,000 sqft building to provide a bright, contemporary series of workspaces, a new light-filled terrace and a beautiful reception space creating a warm sense of arrival. The completed project offers small businesses the opportunity to occupy affordable offices in a building full of character. We are pleased to announce the completion of our latest apartment refurbishments at Connaught Mansions, situated adjacent to Battersea Park. In collaboration with Barbara Weiss Architects, we have thoughtfully reconfigured the apartments within the existing structure to better suit contemporary living. We enhanced thermal and acoustic efficiency by meticulously insulating the exterior walls and upgrading both the floors and ceilings. The apartments feature a timeless aesthetic, complemented by a zero-carbon furniture pack designed and installed by Cast Living.
