It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of DPL Group's most valued team members, Steve King, “Kingy”. Steve joined us in 2008 and became an integral part of the DPL legacy, truly embodying the values and spirit of our organisation. In addition to his dedication at DPL. Steve also worked for his beloved Ipswich Town FC on matchdays for many years. Outside of work, Steve loved running and treasured time spent with his family. His warmth, commitment, and presence will be deeply missed by all of us. Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences are with Steve’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Today we had a company-wide Mental Health and Wellbeing morning, at the Beattie Suite inside the Portman Road Stadium. We sat down with everyone from the group, Protect & Detect & Green Technology Solutions (Suffolk) Ltd, to engage and discuss that although we are in a season of great joy it can be a very difficult time for some. DPL Group’s Facilities Maintenance department hosted a coffee & cake morning at Morecambe Court on Friday last week. This gesture came alongside the ongoing work in the plant room to ensure residents enjoy reliable hot water and fully functioning facilities. This event was a chance to connect and share about the work being carried out, with the residents. DPL Group was proud to have sponsored the Women in Construction event which took place on the 10th of December, at Portman Road, courtesy of Construction Anglia. On Wednesday, Fran Dinsdale, Rebecca Oberon, and Chanel Garnham attended the inspiring event that saw over 200 incredible women coming together to share insights, discuss challenges and celebrate achievements in the construction industry. In an industry still largely dominated by men, these women are making a powerful impact and supporting one another every step of the way. A big thank you to Clare Yelland (nee Friel) and Siu Mun Li for organising such an event, and to all the other sponsors.
