Dunns Food and Drinks Ltd was established in 2001 as a result of a reorganisation of Joseph Dunn Bottlers and the subsequent sale of that company’s assets and heritage. Throughout its 126 year history Joseph Dunn Bottlers had continued to be a major influence on the Scottish food and drink sector – from being a major bottler and distributor of Guinness in the early 1970s to the purchase and subsequent sale of Strathmore Water, the acquisition of strong regional brands such as Solripe, Curries, 5* Ginger Beer, and continuing to bottle and distribute 750ml glass, being appointed sole agent and distributor for licensed brands such as Gilde and Grolsch through its licensed business, Dunn and Moore, to the entry into food services. This great company continued to push the boundaries and accept new challenges. Dunns Food and Drinks has continued in this vein. We have taken Duncans Food Services to a point where it is now recognised within the Scottish market as a major contributor and player. Our soft drinks brands including Curries, 5* Ginger Beer, 750ml returnable glass range and the most recent member of our family, Krystal Klear Spring Water, are being sold throughout Scotland and in all national, regional and independent wholesalers, cash and carries and CTN outlets.

The day is here and we are delighted to have an allocation of this extra special limited edition release from Lochlea Distillery x Overtone Brewing Co. Catch it while you can!
Introducing our first ever Stout Cask Finish, launching 03.12.24. In 2023, we celebrated our 5th birthday by collaborating with Overtone Brewing Co - a Glasgow-based brewery who were on the hunt for whisky casks. Our Production Team hand selected 6 casks (3 bourbon barrels, 2 STR barriques and 1 Oloroso Sherry butt), which were delivered to Overtone and used to mature their first double mash stout in. The result was ‘Overtone: Our Barley Aged’ - a rich, chocolatey stout matured in the exact cask make up we use to create our core single malt whisky, Our Barley. However, the collaboration didn’t end there. Our Trade Sales Manager Emma Kirk explains: “Once they were returned from Overtone, our production team filled each stout seasoned cask with ‘Our Barley’ for a year. Our distillery team have chosen three casks out of the six; the result is a delicious Stout Cask Finish that we are really proud of.” This is a UK-exclusive release, bottled at 52% ABV. It is deliciously buttery and sweet, with flavours of shortbread, toasted barley, toffee and tropical fruit on the palate. The finish is long and silky, packed with more fruit and cereal notes. Working with another independent and like-minded business has been very rewarding, and we can’t wait to hear what you think of our first Stout Cask Finish! We're thrilled to share that we took home a Gold Medal at the #FWDAwards last night!🏆 Our win came in the 'Wholesaler with turnover up to £50m' category where the judges were looking for evidence of agility, innovation and customer support. Increased sales, improved service to customers, and close relationships with suppliers resulting in effective promotions and launches were also under consideration. What a way to end the week!

Last month, we shared the exciting news that our Signature by Country Range Chocolate and Marmalade Marble Cake had been shortlisted for the prestigious Quality Food Awards 2024 in the Foodservice Cakes and Desserts category.
