In the latest of our employee spotlight series, meet two of our rising #Dymonites!   Both of these young Dymonites joined us through our internship program and have since developed into valuable members of our team. In fact, one of them was recently promoted to Associate!   As they look back at their journey with Dymon Asia, they've expressed their appreciation for our #culture of independence and collaboration. Throughout their time with us, they've had the opportunity to work on challenging projects while honing their skillsets and deepening their understanding of finance. With guidance from our experienced Dymonites, they've tackled complex problems, learned to adapt to changing market conditions, and even transitioned from Excel to Python to enhance their technical capabilities.   When asked how one can succeed at the firm, both have encouraged Dymonites, both old and new, to embrace challenges with passion and curiosity, take time off on quiet days to rest and recover after stressful days, and take full advantage of the opportunities available at Dymon Asia.   Here at Dymon Asia, we believe in empowering our employees and fostering a supportive environment where they can learn and grow. Earlier last week, some of our Dymonites joined the Project Legacy Fundraiser, volunteering at a booth to sell some delicious baked goods! We had a great time chatting with everyone about what we were selling and how the fundraiser helps support kids in need.   The money raised will go towards the @Children’s Aid Society’s academic assistance program, giving children and youth better educational opportunities. We recently hosted Bloomberg Day at our Singapore office, a showcase of innovative solutions that can enhance our Dymonites' work experience.   From AI-powered query translation to customisable cloud platforms for backtesting, Bloomberg's offerings left a lasting impression. Our Dymonites were particularly intrigued by the potential applications of these tools in areas like equity research and risk management.   Beyond the technology, the event was a memorable experience. Our team enjoyed delicious food, fun activities, and even had the chance to get their portraits drawn by a talented artist.   At Dymon Asia, we're committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements. What an exciting weekend of Formula 1 racing in Singapore! Not one to miss out on the festivities, we hosted our Dymonites and their families for our annual F1 party at our Singapore office, which boasts a spectacular bird's-eye view of the Marina Bay Street Circuit! With the roar of the F1 practice sessions roaring by, we enjoyed great food, refreshing drinks, and plenty of fun. Our younger guests also had a blast with interactive themed games like Mario Kart, while others indulged in traditional favorites like foosball, Jenga, and Twister. For the racing enthusiasts among us, we spiced things with a trivia quiz, putting their knowledge of racing and F1 history to the test. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter and camaraderie. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming three young adults from the Kopi Teh Morning (KTM) program, along with their caregivers, to our office. As part of this meaningful initiative by Ray of Hope, they graciously served us coffee and tea from their pushcart, brightening our day with their warm smiles.   KTM, in collaboration with Flour Power SG, creates a supportive environment where youths on the autism spectrum can develop valuable service skills, boosting their confidence and resilience through real-world interactions. If you were at CHIJMES earlier last week, you might’ve spotted some of our Dymonites at the Voices of Singapore Festival! On 3 September, 6 Dymonites volunteered as ushers and guides in support of the Silver Voices’ performance at the festival, which was made even more special by the presence of elders from @St Luke's Eldercare Ltd in the audience. At Dymon Asia, we believe in giving back to the community. It was a privilege for our team to contribute to such an inspiring event that brings together people of all ages through the power of music. Though National Day has just ended, our celebration of family and community continues! July has been a whirlwind of activities for our Dymonites in Singapore! 🌟 Our July staff meeting featured the exciting first harvest from our Grobrix green-wall in the office. The @Grobrix team joined us to share insights about this sustainable initiative, and our Dymonites got to incorporate the fresh greens into their lunch and take some home. This green-wall not only enhances our workspace but also promotes a more sustainable way for us to enjoy our greens. 🌿 We also rolled up our sleeves and made sweet confectionaries for a cause at @Yoon's Traditional Teochew Kueh, a remarkable social enterprise. This initiative empowers female ex-drug offenders by providing a safe space for rehabilitation, training, and the development of new work and life skills, helping them reintegrate into their families and society. 🍰 A huge thank you to our fellow Dymonites for their enthusiasm and dedication to activities that make a positive impact on our community and environment.
