  • 🎄 Celebrating the Festive Season with CHEA Values 🎄 This week, we celebrated not only the festive season but also our students’ embodiment of our core values: Courageous, Helpful, Excellent, and Ambassador. ✨ Rewards Assemblies Each year group came together to celebrate students who exemplify our CHEA values: Courageous: Recognizing those who have shown resilience and bravery in their learning and actions. Helpful: Honoring students who consistently go out of their way to support peers, staff, and the community. Excellent: Celebrating outstanding achievement and effort in each subject area. Ambassador: Highlighting students who represent the school with pride, showing leadership and integrity both inside and outside the classroom. 🎁 Festive Cheer & Giving Back From Christmas Jumper Day to welcoming Year 5 pupils from Fenstanton Primary School for lunch, with Manchester United Foundation giving gifts to our community, shining brightly with acts of kindness. With the support of Miss Daiki and our student ambassadors, we prepared 24 hampers for families in need, ensuring the spirit of giving is shared by all. Whether through rewards for achievement or acts of generosity, our school is proud to celebrate the values that make CHEA the heart of our community. #Courageous #Helpful #Excellent #Ambassador #CHEAValues #CommunitySpirit #RewardsAssemblies #FestiveSeason

T’is the season…..Christmas is the time of year to celebrate the message of joy, hope and cheer… this is signified by the sharing or exchange of physical gift….however some gifts are not physical but can be acts of kindesss and us sharing our happiness with others. Here at E-ACT City Heights Academy we try everyday to make our school a brighter place and I am incredibly proud of the the school we have become and of all that we have achieved. We took a moment yesterday to celebrate with Fenstanton Primary school spreading kindness over a well cooked Christmas lunch and a token of joy courtesy of Manchester United Foundation … Pupils were welcomed into the main hall to join them and to have lunch with each other and staff. So this festive season let us spread kindness wherever and whenever we can ….. #developing tomorrow’s leaders

  • 🎉 Community Winter Fair Brings Festive Cheer! ❄️ On Sunday, 15th December, City Heights Academy hosted a spectacular Community Winter Fair, welcoming over 200 attendees for a joyful day of festivities, performances, and community spirit. 🎶 The standout moment? A breathtaking performance by the Brixton Chamber Orchestra in a packed main hall, with songs like Silent Night, New York, New York, and Reach for the Stars enchanting the audience. Adding to the magic, two City Heights students confidently stepped up during the open mic session, rapping alongside the BCO to cheers from the crowd! 🤝 Local community groups were at the heart of the fair, including ReKindle School, @St. Matthew’s Project, @High Trees, Fresh Visions, and Repowering London, who shared their incredible work and energy-saving advice. Healthwatch England Lambeth connected with residents to ensure the community's voice is heard, and @Incredible Edible Lambeth brought creativity with seed giveaways and a festive wreath-making workshop. 🎨 Families and children enjoyed: Face painting Cookie decorating Card-making Jewelry making 🍲 Tasty treats included popcorn, candy floss, dhal soup with naan, mince pies, and hot chocolate—plus a visit from Father Christmas and his elf with gifts for excited young visitors! 🎁 A massive thank you to the Manchester United Foundation for their generous raffle donations and to Southern Housing, @Nottinghill Genesis, and @MTVH for funding the free activities. The day wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible local volunteers. 👏 A special shout-out to our 12 City Heights student ambassadors who led activities, greeted visitors, and showcased the academy’s core values of excellence, courage, and community spirit. • Thursday's Teaching & Learning & Homework Parent Engagement Evening This week, we hosted a Teaching & Learning and Homework Parent Engagement Evening, which was well attended by parents eager to support their children’s learning journey. The event provided a valuable opportunity to share important insights into the structure of lessons and effective strategies for ensuring homework success. During the evening, we introduced parents to key tools that will help students excel, including ClassCharts, Sparx, and the Academy Library. These resources offer students and parents the tools they need to stay organized, track progress, and access a wealth of learning materials. It was fantastic to see such positive engagement from parents who are committed to supporting their children’s academic success. We look forward to continuing this partnership and helping students reach their full potential! #ParentEngagement #HomeworkSuccess #TeachingAndLearning #ClassCharts #Sparx #AcademyLibrary #SupportingStudents #AcademicSuccess #Partnership
