About us
The East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) provides a wide range of community, inpatient and primary care services to children, young people, adults of working age and older adults to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We provide forensic service to all boroughs in North East London and manage four primary care GP practices in Havering and Dagenham. Our Values are: We care | We respect | We are inclusive Originally formed in 2000, ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental health care, innovation and improvement. Our ambition is to make a positive difference by providing people with mental and community health care services that support their recovery and help them to achieve the most fulfilling lives possible. Everything we do is driven by our values of care, respect and inclusivity. Our patients’ needs matter most and we are constantly working to improve our support for all who use and have contact with our services. Our extensive research approach, commitment to education and emphasis on quality means we are at the forefront of excellence in mental health care. Award Winning Services In January 2022, ELFT achieved its third consecutive ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC); the first Community and Mental Health Trust to achieve this rating for a third time.

This year's theme for Eating Disorders Awareness Week focusses on the fact that anybody can be affected by an eating disorder. https://lnkd.in/euXpy-Zz At ELFT, we've compiled stories of those impacted by disordered eating, their treatment and recovery. As Eating Disorders Awareness Week coincides with beginning of Ramadan, we've also shared support available throughout the month: https://lnkd.in/eF5HmmKe. #EatingDisordersAwarenessWeek #AnyoneAnytime
