New blended finance package for social sector organisations looking at energy resilience
Rising energy costs are a growing challenge for charities and social enterprises, making it especially difficult for energy-intensive organisations like care homes, leisure centres and community centres to meet their operational costs. 🌱 Social investment can help address this issue by providing funding that strengthens the energy resilience of purpose-led organisations, allowing them to focus on delivering impact. We're pleased to have invested in the new £15 million Energy Resilience Fund, alongside our partners, to support enterprises in reducing energy usage, stabilising costs and contributing to long-term Net Zero goals. 🌟 The fund is managed by Social Investment Business and will provide a blended funding package of loan (60%) and grant (40%). Organisations can use this capital to access financial and technical support to install energy-saving measures, renewable energy generation technology or explore other energy-efficient options. Closes today last chance to apply! 2 Trustees wanted by Charity Speech and Language UK. Do you have a policy/public affairs or fundraising background and time to support a charity for children & young people? The charity is keen to diversify their Board so that they better reflect the people and communities that they serve and would therefore particularly welcome applications from people from racialised minorities, from people living outside of the south-east of England, and from women. They recognise that having people with a range of different life experiences will bring fresh perspectives to our work and enhance our Board’s effectiveness and ability to support children in many communities across the UK.
