Happy Valentine's Day from Team Eclipse🧡 Whether it's valentines, galentines, bromance or puppy love, the Eclipse team is sharing the love this Valentine's Day 🫶

One of my first tasks upon joining Eclipse Wholesale in 2008 was to set up and test our WLR3 access into Abillity (our billing platform/TPI). A daunting task for someone from an IT background with no telecoms experience! Sam Smith, who was part of the Eclipse team back then, proceeded to work relentlessly to migrate all our lines from WLR2 to WLR3. This article now feels like ancient history: https://lnkd.in/eiF9bvkh. Today, I have end-dated the final service we had directly with Openreach and we are in the process of disestablishing from the Openreach EMP. We still have thousands of services left with our connectivity partner, Zen Partner, and are working to a tight deadline to migrate them, but this feels like a milestone worth celebrating!

Happy National Apprenticeship Week 🎓📚 At Eclipse Wholesale, continuous growth and development, both personally and professionally, is at the heart of what we do! We're proud to support apprenticeships as a key part of our team's development. Four of our current team members have either completed or are actively undertaking apprenticeships: 🎓 Bryce completed his Level 3 Information Communication Technician apprenticeship and is pursuing a Bachelor's in Project Management. 🎓 Tom is undertaking a Business Administration apprenticeship and is set to complete it this year. 🎓 Liv successfully completed her Marketing Executive apprenticeship in 2023. 🎓 Ben is completing a Business Administration apprenticeship and is preparing for his end-point assessment. Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to develop skills while gaining real-world experience and we're pleased to support them at Eclipse Wholesale! At Eclipse Wholesale, we're no strangers to a good pizza party, whether its to reward hard work, mark a special birthday or enjoy a treat from one of our amazing partners, any occasion is a good excuse for pizza! ...what's your go-to topping?

Meet Peter Stephenson 👋 Peter is Eclipse Wholesale’s Service Desk Coordinator and recently joined us at the end of last year! ⚙️ His key responsibilities include overseeing the customer service team, order management, customer support and assisting in service setup and configuration. Peter brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge from his 18-year career in telecoms, having previous senior roles as a Provisioning Team Leader and Provisioning Manager.     ⚽ Outside of work, Peter enjoys keeping active playing 5-a-side football and going to the gym. ‘Hospitality networks 🤮’ I hear everyone that works in IT scream This site had been the unfortunate victim of lots of chefs but nobody cooking - we come in and did a total takeover from a few incumbents and a lot of ‘we don’t know what that does’ With no downtime/interruption our scope was: ✅ Secure Guest WiFi ✅ 1800mbps fibre connection via Eclipse Wholesale ✅ Existing EPOS system network recreated and taken over so all traffic going over a single network ✅ Identification of all cable runs in use - highlighting a faulty AP run and a few others needed across the site ✅ Full VoIP solution with number porting ✅ Kit in-situ ready to move to their new office upstairs - ugly but functional until we’re ready to move *everything*!
