Huge thanks to BBC Morning Live for shining a light on the serious issue of fatbergs. Fats, oils and grease (FOG) are causing havoc in our sewers, leading to blockages, flooding, pollution and increased costs. But there's hope! As shown on today's show, Eco Clarity is turning this problem into a solution. Our unique technology converts FOG waste into valuable feedstock for biodiesel, preventing fatbergs from being an issue in the first place. Missed it? Watch the full segment with our partners, Yorkshire Water, on the BBC iPlayer https://lnkd.in/eWuif9pt We're working to reduce pollution, save emissions and create a more sustainable future. It's a win-win for businesses, water companies and the planet! 🌍♻️ #fatberg #sustainability #ecofriendly #biodiesel

Recycling energy from wastewater into biofuels: Sustainable solutions for compliant Fats, Oils & Grease waste disposal
About us
Sustainable solutions for fats, oils & grease waste disposal. Delivering cost savings and certified green credentials to your business by recycling wastewater. Wastewater from commercial and industrial food facility grease traps is packed full of valuable resources such as fats, oils and grease (FOG), which can be recycled to make biofuels, which generate significant CO2 emission savings. Without proper handling and disposal, FOG can be extremely destructive, blocking sewer and drainage networks, polluting the environment and increasing greenhouse gas emissions. Eco Clarity have spent over a decade developing a separation technology that can process FOG quickly, using only a fraction of the energy that conventional solutions require. This revolutionary technology can create a reliable and sustainable renewable energy source, and it also has the benefit of making water safe to return to the environment.

Eco Clarity recently hit the headlines, with business development manager, Laura Su, explaining how our innovative process turns waste fat, oil and grease (FOG) into renewed biodiesel 🎥 Our process doesn’t just give this difficult waste a place for correct disposal; we give it purpose in the circular economy, converting 5% FOG in wastewater into a feedstock that is nearly 100% FOG. Some of the environmental benefits include 🌱 Diverting waste from sewers and landfills. 🌱 Reducing carbon emissions with renewable biofuels. 🌱 Supporting a cleaner, greener future for local communities. 📲 Catch up on the BBC https://lnkd.in/gupYgxRA #BBCFeature #Sustainability #FOGRecycling #FOGRecoveryHub

Recovered by our hubs, this fat, oil and grease (#FOG) could have otherwise contributed to sewer blockages and fatbergs. Instead, it’s been recovered and transformed into feedstock for biodiesel 🌱 This small sample is a big reminder that even the smallest actions can have a significant impact. We’re proud to be part of this transformation, turning what was once waste from the drains into a much-needed renewable fuel source that supports the environment. https://lnkd.in/dfT3XDXb #Sustainability #FOGManagement #CircularEconomy #FOGtoFuel #Fatbergs #FOGRecoveryHubs
