Today we are launching next year's Certificate in Ecological Consultancy. We have been teaching this course for 17 years now and it is so wonderful to see people quickly gain jobs in ecology after doing this course. It is a comprehensive training to get into ecological consultancy. This is what one of our students this year said about the course: "I am a student on the Ecological Consultancy Course at Ecology Training UK. Sue Searle is an inspiring teacher who generously shares her incredible wealth of knowledge and experience. The courses are packed full of valuable information and Sue offers lots of support and encouragement along the way. Even when the content is heavy on detail, she teaches it in an accessible and fun way, which makes it much easier to understand and retain the information. Sue is one of the most talented teachers I have ever had the pleasure of learning from and it would be very difficult to beat the calibre of the courses offered by Ecology Training UK. I can genuinely say that for me this course has been life changing and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it."   Manjula Cote If you want to propel your career after university, or change direction in your career then this course could be for you! If you know anyone who might benefit from this training then let them know! You can start your studies straight away! Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/e9gZmaS6

  • We never get tired of hearing the success stories of our students, and this one is no exception. Tom Lock has worked so hard with us doing both the Certificate in Conservation Management and then the Certificate in Ecological Consultancy. He has completely changed careers and used our Certificate in Conservation Management to enable him to bypass going back to university and focus on the learning that he really wanted to achieve. Now, he has secured his first job in ecological consultancy. Congratulations Tom! Here's what he has to say: "As an IT professional of over 25 years I was keen to switch careers to something to help improve the natural environment, but I was struggling to find the right path. Enrolling in the Certificate in Conservation Management was the turning point for me. The course was a fantastic blend of fieldwork, webinars and online courses - achievable for someone still working full-time. Sue is an excellent tutor and helped boost my confidence. She made me understand how my existing skills could be used to great effect in the sector and has guided me throughout - so well that I am now close to finishing the Certificate in Ecological Consultancy and have a new job working for a local ecological consultancy. Thank you, Sue." https://lnkd.in/eV4_ngn

  • Are you ready to get up close and personal with one of the UK’s most beautiful and secretive animals? The Dormouse is undeniably a cute little creature, but due to forest habitat destruction, their populations have fallen dramatically, and they are now considered extinct in 17 different counties. By getting to know Dormice, and their ecology, we can better equip ourselves to help them out. That’s why we are inviting you to come along for a day out in Devon on the 23rd of September to learn all about these special animals, their ecology and conservation needs. We will also learn how to survey for Dormice and carry out nestbox checks and the best practices for their handling. This is the perfect first step towards gaining your Dormouse handling licence, too. Where: Exeter When: 23rd September 2024 Here’s what our students are saying: “Fantastic opportunity to gain more theory and practical knowledge about one of the UK’s most adorable species“ Head over to our website now to book and avoid disappointment! https://lnkd.in/gmdv94xW #Dormouseecology #dormouse #dormice #ecologytraining #dormouseconservation #conservationuk

  • Botany is Back! Botany underpins most of what we do in ecological consultancy. Without a reasonable grasp of botany we cannot identify and map habitats, spot endangered or invasive species, or make comments on other animals’ behaviour and habitat. Now is the perfect time to practice your botanical skills, or get started with learning botany. Check out our beginner’s botany course, and our Grass ID course if you need to brush up! If you’re more of a hands-on person we have several Beginner’s Botany courses being held throughout the summer at various locations in the south of England. Check out our website for more details!
