🚨 Exciting Announcement! 🚨 We are pleased to announce that The Online Tasting Company is rebranding itself as ecoSIP – the best-in-class single-serve drinks packaging solution. We were proud to be at the forefront of creating memorable online wine experiences during the pandemic, as one of the very first in the world to offer this to customers. However, as our business has transformed, so has our mission. At the heart of what we’ve always done has been our transformative packaging technology. We’ve been packaging other companies’ wine up for all kinds of purposes – far beyond the online tastings we originally targeted. As we have evolved and grown over the past 4 years, it's time for our name to reflect who we are today, capturing our focus and describing what we represent and where we are headed. Whilst we will still offer our tastings with The Online Wine Tasting Club, our packaging technologies have many broader opportunities, and we want to focus on creating real change in the beverage industry in how consumers enjoy top quality wine, mindfully and flexibly - moving away from carbon-intensive glass. Our dedication to sustainability, innovation, and excellence remains at the heart of what we do. With ecoSIP we are able to offer single serve, perfectly preserved wines and many other still beverages. Perfect for sampling, tastings, on trade by the glass, retail, gifting, advent calendars or at home recipe boxes; anywhere that a 750ml bottle is just too much. · Lighter than glass · Better wine protection than PET or bag-in-box · Suitable for a broader range of wines than aluminium cans With >1 million ecoSIP portions produced so far, we thank you for your continued support as we embark on this exciting new chapter, as we look to build our brand in the UK and globally. If you want to know more, we would love to hear from you, and help you get your wines, cocktails and spirits in front of more people! #ecoSIP #Rebrand #SustainablePackaging #WineIndustry #Innovation #Growth

We’re thrilled to announce that Ray O'Connor MW is joining us as non-executive director, bringing over a decade of retail experience to the company! We’ve asked him what he’s looking forward to - here it goes: “I am excited to be part of a company that is not only committed to protecting the environment but also to enhancing the quality and accessibility of wine, especially in the single-serve space, which has unique challenges. “We will be focusing on expanding relationships with the wine and retail industries, and working together to offer consumers a new way to enjoy a mid-week meal with an interesting glass of premium wine in a mindful way, without the need to buy or open a full bottle.” Welcome onboard, Ray! https://lnkd.in/e6wTHY4K #WineBusiness #SustainablePackaging

EPR regulation and fees... have you heard of them? Well they are coming very soon... EPR stands for Extended Producer Responsibility and it's all about encouraging producers to reduce the amount of packaging waste. For glass, it's estimated that, if you qualify, you'll be paying between £130 and £330 per tonne. Now, even at the Sustainable Wine Roundtable's reduced bottle weight of 420g, that means there's an extra tax of up to 14p per bottle of wine to pay, plus more for the secondary packaging (cardboard boxes, etc) and the capsule, closure, etc. Might be worth looking into lighter-weight alternatives, such as ecoSIP from The Online Tasting Company? At as little as 15 grams to pack up 6 x 125ml portions (750ml total), there are significant tax savings as well as carbon footprint reductions! Give us a shout today...

Here’s a little case study on our advent calendar! Thanks to everyone at Smurfit Kappa that’s helped bring this together! #winepackaging #altformat #premium #advent #gifting #winetastings #wine
When red, white (and rosé) go green. We worked with The Online Tasting Company to uncork a lightweight, recyclable and eco-friendly advent calendar that's fully branded for a personalised touch. Not only is the wine packaging robust and strong, but it's also easy to pack and comes with a host of cost savings for the UK’s leading wine sample repacking experts. Take a look at our recent case study to find out more -> https://lnkd.in/e4kJepja #SmurfitWestrock #wine #drinks #calendar

Someone once wrote that a good brand occupies a little corner of your brain. 🧠 Brain cells are precious. We only devote brain space to what we care about. So how do you make something you want people to notice and remember? We wine people have a secret weapon. Which senses do you think have the strongest link to memory? 👅 Taste. and 👃 Smell. Babies explore the world with their mouths. 🍷 And so if you are a wine, the best way to make friends with a human is through their taste buds. To dance on their olfactory neurones. 📞 A hotline to their brain. And if you have a story to tell, and some beautiful imagery, they'll start to furnish a corner of their brain just for you. 😇 The greatest privilege. How do we get there? Hope someone will buy and drink your wine? Good luck. Hope journalists will tell people about you? Slow burn. Attend a lot of wine tasting events? Tiring. And inefficient. Ask your customers to share with their friends? Good idea. But getting actual sign-ups is hard if you are not there. So what's the answer? Well, we think we've found it. Thanks to Alex Taylor of The Online Tasting Company. Alex has made us some sample packs of six different Domaine of the Bee wines, and we are sending these out to potential customers. We are charging £35, which is around the average cost of a full bottle of one of flagship wines plus delivery. This covers our costs and makes a small margin. And we give that back if you buy a case of 6 full bottles. So far, the redemption rate is running at 50% We have 20 packs left. When these have gone, we'll be ordering more! Taste for yourself by clicking here: https://lnkd.in/dY2Y6HyP Or give Alex a call to find out what he can do for you.
