ECIS, the Educational Collaborative for International Schools reposted this
Denver Language School is a hidden gem of international education. Aged 15, still growing and developing, we’re taking steps to participate more fully in our global community. Firstly, we’re delighted to be members of AAIE and champions of their ethos. Thank you to the ‘Western Timezone Regulars’ like Valentina Imbeni, Melinda Bihn, Jeff Paulson and Dr. Raymond J. Schmidt for their support of my personal growth and development as Head of School. Now, we’re partnering with ECIS, the Educational Collaborative for International Schools to offer bespoke Middle Leader development programming for our K-8 team. Helen Morgan is here this week, influencing with the raffish charm of a Northern Englishwoman. Sarah Kupke and Kam Chohan - grateful for your welcoming us into the fold. The responses to ECIS posts of your being active in Denver makes me feel comfort in being part of a global community of allies, partners and friends. On the note of friends, we cannot neglect our supporters in Colorado. The likes of Bill Knous and Carol Bowar along with folk like Laurie Premer, Andrew Huber , Dr. Christian Sawyer , Kayla Rogers , Jodi Mattingly , Max Tweten , Stacy Wojdak-Goodman Sydney Dillman and Paige Neuharth in DPS are vital to our provision of high quality public education. We are proud public education providers. Thank you to all of you who are supporting us as we learn and grow at DLS. We are humbled by your help, support, and fundamental decency.
I ❤️spending time in schools working with incredible educators. Today was no exception-my first day at Denver Language School with Richard Royal Annie Trujillo Christine Loven-Santos and their brilliant team of middle leaders. Listening to what they are proud of and what they would like their legacy to be was both inspiring and humbling. It was also fantastic to see their language immersion in Mandarin and Spanish in action. Blown away by the kindergarten groups!
