I'm a Governor at a school and this week we finalised the move to acadamise. It's been a real journey. I've learned a lot and worked with a selection of people that I'd normally never meet. At the end of the board meeting the chair stood up to make a few thank yous, personally thanked me and gave me this gorgeous bunch of flowers. We're all volunteers but in that moment I felt so valued and appreciated. I often talk about actions and words and how they have such a positive effect, not only in the moment but afterwards. Now, when I walk into my kitchen and see these beautiful flowers, I'm overwhelmed by that feeling of appreciation, being noticed. It's incredibly powerful and motivational.

Generating £millions of revenue for clients from referrals

My fiancée and I went to the excellent Six by Nico on Charlotte Street on Saturday for a pre-theatre indulgence. The theme this six week period is 'The Funfair', and the first course was titled 'Hook a Duck'. What's that got to do with selling? I've met too many people recently who probably would describe themselves as finding lead generation a whole lot harder than hooking a duck at a funfair. If it's that hard, you're looking in the wrong pond. To make lead gen easier: 1. Have you clearly defined your ideal client profile? 2. Have you equally clearly defined your buyers' personas within each ICP? 3. Have you identified the most successful ways to have a meaningful engagement and conversation with each persona? Or are you fishing in the wrong pond?

It's interesting how a New Year makes you re-evaluate your priorities, really we should be doing this all year. I saw this and liked the sentiment. I'm definitely having a lazy Sunday morning today! Dizzy Friday nights? Now that's something to work on 🤣
