About us
The European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) represents Europe's most qualified golf course architects. Members of the EIGCA have shown through their skill, experience and training that they are able to design and oversee the construction of golf courses to the highest standards. As a professional body we work to enhance the status of the golf course design profession, increase the opportunities for our members to practice throughout the world and educate future golf course architects. The EIGCA has almost 100 Members and Associate Members spread throughout 25 countries. In this section you can read about our history, our aims and our activities. There is also an organigram to explain how the EIGCA is run and who has what responsibilities.

Following the success of the first two phases of renovations on our Longcross Course, we are excited to unveil plans for our third and final phase of works, which will see a further £350,000 of investment bringing our total to more than £1.5m through this project. Hear from Director of Golf, Sean Graham (CMDip), Course and Estate Manager, Derrick Johnstone and Course Designer at European Golf Design, Gary Johnston, on their highlights of the project so far and looking ahead to what golfers can expect upon completion. The aim of the project has been to modernise the courses, improving year-round playability and enjoyment for all handicaps. Phase 3 will focus on holes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 18 with upgrades to bunker shape and positioning, drainage, irrigation, tee boxes and aesthetics. See full proposal here: https://lnkd.in/eCA_97XZ
