  • 🔥We're delighted to confirm the full suite of JFST training is now in the hands of our Armed Forces. Following the completion of SAT on the JFST mobile our Bristol team has now delivered the sixth and final JFST training platform type to Front Line Commands. To date, JFST has delivered over 12,000 hours of training to British Armed Forces and NATO allies. The inaugural deployment of JFST(M) training has been delivered to 3 Commando Brigade Fires Personnel in Scotland. And with further training exercises planned, the family of JFST training solutions offers users a fully immersive experience, allowing users to sense, decide and control joint effects without the need for expensive military assets – bearing cost efficiencies for all branches of the Armed Forces and boosting training capacity. Our CEO, Martin Fausset stated “JFST is a highly capable and technologically advanced training system which has demonstrated the benefits synthetic training can provide to the British Armed Forces. We will continue to support this training for all branches of the Armed Forces”. Head here for the full story: https://lnkd.in/ewRDxqDF #JointFires #IITSEC2024 #MilitaryTraining #RedefineTheFuture

  • We loved participating in this autumn's edition of Exercise Bold Quest 2024 (BQ 24), the exercise focuses on multi-national interoperability and experimentation. Our team attended alongside and in support of UK MOD with our D-JFI system to participate in the Combined Operational Fires Experiment, during which the D-JFI system was put through its paces as a high-tech system for Close Air Support. The D-JFI system allows users to identify targets with high accuracy and feed information quickly to close air support, maritime or artillery assets, enabling them to engage the target directly - the high-tech system will be fielded with British armed forces in 2025. Our team had the pleasure to host and brief a number of NATO delegations during the 4 week exercise including, Canada, Finland, the Netherlands and USA. We relished the opportunity to support our customer on a global stage, showing how the D-JFI system is putting advantageous tech in to the hands of British personnel. #OpBoldQuest #RedefineTheFuture #CloseAirSupport

  • Mental health and wellbeing is important all year round, so for this week's Stress Awareness Week we've reminded our teams of the tools and resources at their disposal to help when times are harder. Our Employee Assistance Programme can provide support for family, legal and mental health for when times aren't easy, or just some extra support is needed. We hosted a Lunch and Learn covering combating stress and building resilience, and a nutritional health seminar. To raise funds for MIND we've had the ESUK in house bakers providing some excellent cakes, and we also invited our furry friends for a group dog walk and collective break from our desks. 📷Taffy is a very good girl and certainly helps alleviate stress #StressAwarenessWeek #MIND #MentalHealth

  • The Watchkeeper is primarily employed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities by Royal Artillery. This summer, the British Army deployed the Watchkeeper for training in Estonia. Over 60 soldiers deployed on Exercise Athena Shield to test the Watchkeeper in this unfamiliar territory. The training involved working with Estonian military and civilian authorities to plan and execute flying operations in different weather conditions. Col Richard Ball: “It has demonstrated the ability to deploy at relatively short notice to a new flying location overseas, conduct planning with the host nation, as well as operating the newly upgraded system. It has also shown the utility of the platform to perform the Army’s Land Tactical Deep Find role which provides a vital capability contribution to the 3rd United Kingdom Division in its war fighting role. The Watchkeeper is delivered to the Army through U-Tacs, our joint venture with Thales and is another example of Elbit Systems UK's commitment to equipping our soldiers with innovative, adaptable and high-tech solutions.
