  • A century-long bond on the pitch! On 4 January, Exeter City Football Club faced Bolton Wanderers Football Club at St James’ Park Stadium in a special League One match celebrating the historic relationship between Exeter City Football Club and Brazil. To commemorate this remarkable shared history, this match was transformed into a celebration of Brazil, with tributes and festivities that highlighted the enduring ties between Exeter City and Brazil. Over a century ago, in 1914, Exeter City became the first opponent of the Brazil national team during Exeter City’s tour of South America. This iconic match marked the beginning of Brazil’s extraordinary journey in football, a sport that today unites and inspires millions around the world. We’re extremely proud to see the story of Brazil's footballing origins celebrated in the UK and grateful for Exeter City’s continued recognition of this remarkable chapter in the history of the beautiful game! 🇧🇷⚽🇬🇧
