Today, the snow has brought a beautiful yet chilly touch to the day—sunny skies but freezing temperatures! While the weather this week has been tough, our incredible team members have continued to show up, day in and day out, to care for and support the individuals we’re privileged to have with us💙 In roles that are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our team’s commitment to enriching the lives of those we support is truly inspiring. We also want to give a special shoutout to all our new team members, who have joined us every day this week to attend their induction training. At Embrace Care, we are dedicated to empowering our leaders with the tools, knowledge, and skills they need to inspire and guide their teams effectively. This commitment has led to the creation of our new in-house Leadership Development Programme, designed for all team leaders and above. This month, we proudly hosted the first session of this programme, led by our Operations Director, Katherine Evans. This marks the beginning of a journey where every leader in Embrace Care will receive tailored support to grow their leadership capabilities and drive positive change across our services. This week, we were fortunate to have Donna Davies join us to deliver Team Teach training to some of our team members. At Embrace Care, our focus is on de-escalation, building trusting relationships, and creating enabling environments where physical restraint is not needed. Donna’s delivery was perfectly aligned with our values, demonstrating exceptional knowledge of trauma, attachment, and therapeutic care. One of the highlights of the training was an interactive activity where we reflected on: 1️⃣ Our ultimate goal at Embrace Care 2️⃣ The values that drive us in our roles 3️⃣ The underpinning frameworks like legislation, policies, and regulatory bodies 4️⃣ How we practically achieve positive outcomes for the individuals we support The attached image showcases one of the group's responses to this activity, highlighting their deep thought and understanding of what it means to truly nurture hearts and inspire minds.
