About us
Emerging Comms was founded by a team of experts with a passion for, and knowledge of, the Chinese market. We could see some businesses need more than just a marketing service. Brands new to this appealing, yet complex, market, require strategic advice on how to begin – and continue – marketing to China. Here are just a few of the questions we are frequently asked: How and where do we start marketing to China? What is the best approach? Why aren’t we getting good quality leads from Baidu search? We have a lot of Weibo followers but very little engagement – why? How can we improve this? We have a Chinese distribution agreement; how do we grow sales demand for our brand? We have a Chinese digital team but communication is unclear and disjointed. How can things be improved? How can we use WeChat to manage our customer services function? We already work with a global agency. Can you support their work in China? We have all the answers. Our experienced team of bi-lingual Chinese experts deliver campaigns and consultancy within the luxury, B2B and education sectors. Our services span all Chinese digital channels. If you are looking for a “go to market” strategy, or to boost ROI on your existing Chinese marketing, we are equipped to understand, advise and implement a tailored solution for your business needs. Each client is assigned a dedicated Account Manager. Our skills across the team cover web, search, social, programmatic and consultancy and all of our work is underpinned by set and agreed KPIs for every project. Do you put this much effort into localising your products & services? Accio is Alibaba's new AI platform to help overseas businesses to source products & suppliers. The name "Accio" is a Harry Potter spell that summons an object towards whoever casts it. A clever, and memorable name for the right audience. Could you come up with something this good for the Chinese market? https://lnkd.in/eAnimZXN

The dust has started to settle on the US elections, and Chinese economic commentators are starting to share their outlook, which isn't rosy for US-China trade relations. But the US closing its doors to China opens up opportunities elsewhere. Here are some likely predictions we've picked up from Chinese economic news outlets this week... Trade Tensions: The Strategic View Market watchers expect broader trade restrictions affecting multiple industries, not just sensitive sectors like we've seen in semiconductors. This shift could impact everything from supply chains to technology partnerships. For Western businesses, this means rethinking their China strategy beyond the traditional US-China trade corridor. China's Adaptation Strategy Chinese economic planners aren't standing still. They're rolling out a three-part response that creates new opportunities for non-US companies: 🇨🇳 Domestic Market Focus China is pushing hard to boost internal consumption, especially in services. For companies offering business services, consumer experiences, or lifestyle products, this means a growing market hungry for quality offerings. 🌏 Market Diversification Chinese businesses are actively seeking new international partners. Companies from regions outside the US-China tension zone can find eager customers and collaborators in the Chinese market. Outward Chinese investment in developing new markets is definitely going to increase. ✂️ Business Environment Updates China is streamlining its international business processes. This includes simpler regulations and better support for foreign companies - especially those bringing innovative solutions to the Chinese market. The recent trade talks with the UK have focused on global health and environmental sustainability as sectors where the two countries can cooperate, so restrictions are likely to fall first in these areas. (See our recent post about opening up investment in healthcare to overseas businesses) What This Means for Your Business If you're not US-based, China's economic shift could work in your favour. Consider: • Building partnerships with Chinese companies looking to diversify their international connections • Focusing on China's growing service sector • Taking advantage of new business-friendly policies • Exploring manufacturing partnerships with Chinese firms expanding globally Looking Ahead While US-China tensions create challenges, they also open doors for companies ready to step in. Smart marketers will watch these changes closely and position their businesses to benefit from China's economic redirection. The key is moving quickly. As China reshapes its economic relationships, early movers will have the advantage of building strong market positions.

Getting the whole experience of your business across to prospects is a complex task, especially for a university. We're not just selling a product, but the entire experience that's wrapped around it. To do that, we need a whole collection of content formats and ideas up our sleeve. Our latest shoot at University of Stirling covered everything from scenic shots of the beautiful campus to studio shots with student ambassadors, supported by Stirling's marketing team and their in-house production facilities. If your content is getting repetitive and not getting the engagement it once did, you should probably give us a call.
