𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐓𝐅𝐒 🚉⚡ Last weekend, Enable Power Systems, with invaluable support from 𝘕𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘛𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 (NRT) and 𝘞𝘑𝘗 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴, successfully completed the Stage 2 commissioning of the new Auto Transformer Feeder Site (ATFS) at Hollycross (Bramley). This milestone required seamless collaboration with 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘥's engineering teams to energise the 25kV grid intake substation at Hollycross, connected via the 400kV National Grid substation at Bramley. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟐: • 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: Energised the 400kV to 25kV HV cables, switchgear, and protection systems, ensuring robust fault isolation and connection integrity. • 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: Commissioned the 25kV HV feeder cables, ABB SMOS switchgear, auto transformers, busbars, and associated protection schemes through rigorous testing of operational and safety standards. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞: We conducted short-circuit tests and recorded voltage potentials to ensure compliance with critical safety metrics like step and touch voltage limits, including Rise of Earth Potential (RoEP). This validated the infrastructure’s resilience and adherence to strict 12kA fault current limits . 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: • Short Circuit Testing: Proved fault-handling capability and system protection reliability. • Voltage Potential Analysis: Verified safe thresholds for personnel and infrastructure. • RoEP Compliance: Confirmed safe earth potential levels for fault scenarios. All equipment was energised safely and within the approved schedule, delivering yet another milestone on time. With Stage 2 successfully completed, the site has been de-energised, setting the stage for the next phase: Stage 3 entry into service. A big thank you to our teams and partners for making this a success! 👏 WJ Project Services, Network Rail & National Grid #𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 #𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 #𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤

⚡ 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐓𝐅𝐒 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧⚡ On the weekend of 18th-19th October, Enable Power Systems, alongside our supply chain partners, completed Stage 1 commissioning of a new 25kV auto transformer feeder site (ATFS) at Holly Cross, Bramley. This complex task involved collaboration with National Grid teams to energise the new Holly Cross 25kV grid intake substation, fed through the Bramley 400kV substation. Key achievements in this phase included: • 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐝 & 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: 400kV to 25kV HV cables, switchgear, protection schemes, ABB SMOS switchgear, and 2 autotransformers. • 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐤 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: Rigorous testing ensured all equipment met high safety and compliance standards without impacting Network Rail's operations. With Stage 1 completed and the site de-energised, we’re ready to enter Stage 2 with short circuit testing scheduled for early November. 👏 Thanks to our dedicated teams and partners for executing this crucial milestone on time and to the highest standards. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive progress on this pivotal project for UK rail infrastructure! #Enable #Energisation #NetworkRail #PowerSystems #NationalGrid #Commissioning
