Yesterday the team made their way to Enniskillen to host a Future of Skills event in partnership with NIE Networks at South West College. On the morning members discussed economic and skills landscape overview of the Fermanagh and Omagh region. We also heard from Kathleen O'Hare who offered an overview of the ongoing priorities of the NI Skills Council. Yet more brilliant news this week as we picked up another award 🤩 We are absolutely delighted to announce that we picked up the Gold Newcomer accolade at the IHR - In-house Recruitment Awards on Wednesday at the Park Plaza, Westminister Bridge in London 🏆 Our Recruitment Team picked up the award as a result of bringing our recruitment services in house in 2024. An incredible night for everyone associated with Encirc as we walked away with four awards at this year’s The Manufacturer MX Awards at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool 🎉 We scooped the Supply Chain Excellence and Operational Excellence awards and then our very own Sam Bennington was awarded Young Manufacturer of the Year for his consistently outstanding work in our Beverages team in Elton 👏 Then, the cake was well and truly iced when we were crowned Manufacturer of the Year 🤩 What a phenomenal achievement to gain such recognition at these highly respected awards. Encirc has achieved Platinum Level in the 2024 Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey for the fifth year in a row, being recognised once again for its commitment to improving its environmental impacts. 132 of Northern Ireland’s most sustainable businesses were revealed at an event on Wednesday in Belfast to announce the results of the 2024 survey, organised by responsible business network Business in the Community Northern Ireland. Only 39 of those businesses achieved Platinum Level. To achieve the platinum award again is a strong endorsement of Encirc’s continued progress towards building a sustainable and successful business in line with climate change targets. It's rewarding to have achieved this important industry benchmark once again and well done to Keelin McCone and the BITC team for putting together another great survey and event. The growth of the Northern Ireland economy was very much to the fore as Invest Northern Ireland launched its business strategy for 2024 - 2027 in Belfast on Tuesday. Encirc was delighted to attend and exhibit at the event which attracted a wide range of businesses from throughout Northern Ireland. It was also great to hear from the Department for the Economy NI Minister, Conor Murphy. Yesterday, Encirc had the pleasure of attending the Women in Business NI Voices of Leadership Conference at Mandela Hall, Queen’s University Belfast. The theme of the day was People, Planet, Purpose, three #subjects central to all that we do at Encirc, a Vidrala company. During the day, we heard from an abundance of speakers including conference host Donna Traynor, all of whom delivered some valuable #insights on the important contributions women make in the workplace.
