SMD Collaborates with Beam on Offshore AI Innovation Underwater technology and services company, SMD, and deep technology company, Beam, are mobilising autonomous vehicles in harsh offshore environments using Beam’s Pathfinder software. Happy New Year and welcome back! And there’s some great news to start 2025 with, as it has been announced that wind provided more electricity than ever in Great Britain last year. ⚡   ↗️Wind generated nearly 83 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity across Great Britain, up from nearly 79TWh in 2023, according to National Energy System Operator, which coordinates electricity distribution. ↗️   Energi Coast will continue to play a important role in the development of offshore wind in the UK throughout 2025, through showcasing supply chain capabilities, promoting the sector strengths of North East England, and driving collaboration on skills and innovation. 💪   We’re all set for an exciting year in offshore wind!   #offshorewind #NOF #renewables #windenergy #EnergiCoast

Big news for the region 🎉 Ørsted makes multi million-pound investment into UK suppliers for its Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm Renewable energy company Ørsted announces contracts collectively worth £75 - £100m with UK companies. Spotlight on the UK Offshore Wind Supply Chain: Minister announces new IGP Delivery Body Energy Minister Michael Shanks has announced that the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) will become the new Delivery Body for the offshore wind sector’s Industrial Growth Plan (IGP).
