The OGCI (Oil and Gas Climate Initiative) is a fantastic group, leading efforts in reducing emissions through effective cross-industry collaboration between some of the industry's biggest companies. Since 2017, OGCI members have collectively reduced upstream methane emissions by 55%, cut routine flaring by 53% and invested $95.8 billion in low-carbon technologies and solutions - including renewables, biofuels and CCUS. We're very excited to announce a new member of the sustain:able team! James Boyle has 25 years’ experience in the oil, gas and energy industries. His career began in subsurface operations in the North Sea, moving on to production optimisation and operational excellence in areas including the Middle East, Trinidad and West Africa. More recently, his focus has been on energy transition and emissions management. James’s experience enables him to provide a balance of energy security and operational delivery with environmental sustainability. James has a BEng in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, MEng in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, and PGCert in Energy Transition from University of Aberdeen. Originally from Northern Ireland, he is now based in south west London.
