🗣️ Carnegie Conversations Returns 🗣️: Stories and Reflections of Being a Woman in Football Governance I’m thrilled to invite you to the relaunch of our Carnegie Conversations free and open interactive public lectures, hosted here at the Carnegie School Of Sport, Leeds Beckett University. We’ll be welcoming our very own Alex Culvin, PhD—Director for Global Policy & Strategic Relations for women’s football at FIFPRO former professional footballer, and sociologist—to share her lived experiences working at the highest levels of global football governance. From professional footballer to working in football governance, Dr. Alex Culvin’s transformative journey has been full of challenges—especially those tied to gender and the activism needed to create change. With Alex, we will explore how can football governance evolve to support the growth of professional women’s football. What’s needed to ensure it’s ready for the future? Be part of the conversation and explore these critical questions with us. 🔥 A fireside, autobiographical chat sharing Alex's personal journey ❓ An interactive Q&A ☕️Refreshments and networking Chair: Leanne Norman, Director of the Centre for Social Justice in Sport & Society 📅 Date: Tuesday 28th January, 5pm-6pm 📍 Location: Carnegie School of Sport building, Headingley Campus, Carnegie School Of Sport (this is an in-person event only) 🎫 Register your free place here: https://lnkd.in/ePhqn4iv This event is open to everyone—colleagues, students, and the general public.
