“SkyGrid Lays Foundation for Third-Party Services in AAM with new ConOps” SkyGrid, an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Third-Party Technical Service Provider (TSP), released an operational blueprint, a Concept of Operations (ConOps), for Third-Party Services Supporting the Airspace Integration of AAM, reports a press release. Air New Zealand “Accelerates Toward Electric Aircraft Operations, Increases Order and Collaboration with BETA Technologies.” Air New Zealand (ANZ) has expanded its commercial partnership with U.S‑based eVTOL developer and manufacturer, BETA Technologies, adding an electric Technical Demonstrator aircraft and several charging solutions to its previous order, reports a press release. This marks another significant step in Air New Zealand’s plans “to operationalise BETA’s next-generation ALIA CTOL aircraft in commercial routes beginning in 2026,” explains the release. Manta Aircraft “Unveils Full-Scale Mock-Up of ANN 6 at November Zhuhai Airshow.” Two and a half weeks after China’s Zhuhai Airshow (November 12th-17th), and Manta Aircraft’s display of its full-scale mock-up of its new hybrid-electric long range HEV/STOL ANN 6, the company released a press release for the West celebrating its “landmark moment for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).” “This innovative aircraft,” says Manta, “sets new benchmarks for range, speed, and efficiency within the regional air mobility sector.” The images are impressive. The release explains, “The ANN 6 is a multipurpose, six-seater air vehicle offering comfortable space for 1 pilot and 5 passengers, for personal mobility, business travel, medical and cargo transport operations. Archer has entered into a multi-party collaboration agreement with key UAE and Abu Dhabi entities to advance the establishment of electric air taxi operations in the country. The agreement aims to formalise the cooperation between UAE and Abu Dhabi stakeholders in preparation for the launch of the first commercial eVTOL aircraft flight. The agreement’s goal is for Archer Aviation to be the first manufacturer of eVTOL aircraft in the Middle East and North Africa (#MENA) region, as well as the first to launch commercial flying taxi operations in the Emirate.
