This is interesting Saints Honour International Fan of the Year: The New Orleans Saints recognised Margaux Schmidt from France as their 2025 International Fan of the Year. Schmidt, a dedicated supporter and flag football player, was surprised with a trip to represent the Saints at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay. This initiative underscores the value of acknowledging and rewarding international fans to strengthen global loyalty. At Filmily we talk about the value and power of the global fanbase and activly encourage Rights Owners to enage with them, creating that all important emotional bond. #fanengagement https://lnkd.in/e3yKeD75

This is interesting - establishments like the Sports Bra in Portland, Oregon, are creating inclusive spaces dedicated to broadcasting women’s sports. These venues offer welcoming environments for fans, fostering community and increasing visibility for female athletes. (https://lnkd.in/e4sxXRfd) I really interesting aspect for fan engagement, and remote fans are at the heart of what we do at Filmily

Its very interesting the different aspects of Fan Engagement happening on a daily basis. Liverpool Football Club has announced a freeze on ticket prices for the upcoming season, maintaining current rates despite rising operational costs. This decision aims to acknowledge fan loyalty and ensure fair access to matches. (https://lnkd.in/e6_xzmGt) Maintaining accessible ticket prices can strengthen fan loyalty and community support.

Great writing by Adam Letko here, particulary "Clubs aiming to increase sponsorship revenue should prioritise digital fan engagement and enhancing the matchday experience rather than relying solely on performance." #filmily #fanengagement
In modern football, commercial revenue is essential for club sustainability and growth. My research explores the key drivers of commercial value in The Premier League clubs, revealing surprising insights into what truly impacts financial success. Key Findings: 📌 Social Media Presence matters– Facebook followers had the strongest positive correlation and the highest standardized coefficient with commercial revenue. Brands prioritize visibility, and a club’s digital reach significantly enhances its commercial appeal. Facebook was selected as it remains the most utilized social media platform in the UK. 📌 Matchday Attendance Drives Value – The second highest standardized coefficient, higher stadium attendance translates into greater brand exposure for sponsors, making it a critical determinant of sponsorship revenue. 📌 Winning Isn’t Everything – Contrary to common belief, on-field success (number of wins) was not statistically significant. While performance attracts attention, it is fan engagement and visibility that truly drive commercial value. 📊 Using multiple regression analysis, I examined data from all 20 Premier League clubs, providing a data-backed strategy for optimizing sponsorship value. The key takeaway? Clubs aiming to increase sponsorship revenue should prioritize digital fan engagement and enhancing the matchday experience rather than relying solely on performance. #PremierLeague #SportsSponsorship #DataAnalytics #FootballBusiness #SponsorshipStrategy
