Die immense Wertschöpfung durch KI und im Umkehrschluss der riesige Wohlstandsverlust für Gesellschaften, die diese nicht nutzen, ist kaum abzuschätzen. Wie stehen von der schnellsten und umfassendsten Transformation der Menschheit. Das neue Modell o1 pro von #OpenAI der letzen Woche ist zumindest analytisch und konzeptionell fähiger als ich in allen Problemen, in denen ich nicht einen Informationsvorteil habe. Damit haben wir ein Werkzeug, mit dem wir alle großen Herausforderungen der Gesellschaft besser lösen können als je zuvor. Jeder von uns in Deutschland und Europa kann diese Chance nutzen. Ich hoffe, wir tun dies.

I had the honor of contributing to WELT how we can make education more equitable with #AI. It’s a topic close to my heart and central to our mission at #IU : to democratize education and empower learners worldwide with the best personalized way to learn. The promise of AI in education isn’t about gadgets or gimmicks. It’s about breaking barriers. With AI, we can identify and address learning gaps more effectively, personalize teaching like never before, and ensure that no student’s potential is limited by their background or circumstances. But let’s be clear—this isn’t a magic wand. True progress demands patience, collaboration, and above all, humility. In this spirit we are collaborating with #Microsoft to launch the #IUCoPilot School (https://lnkd.in/dhFJ6Amb) , bringing the power of AI to the forefront of personalized education. AI can’t replace mentorship or human connection (nor should it!). But it can amplify what educators do best—foster empathy, nurture curiosity, and unlock potential in every learner. The big picture? If we get this right, we won’t just transform education; we’ll help shape a more equitable society, one learner at a time. And this is the key to prepare all of us for the coming #ageofAI. Great to have worked with Standard Chartered Bank to accredit their external training to clients. A first for us at LIBF. I started delivering trade training in 1997 and subsequently I would deliver client training when I worked in different countries. This is very much many steps up from SCB, as it is not an individual off the side of the desk, but a global programme through their Trade Institute and a great value add for their customers.
