Market Update: February Insights & Trends: As we near the end of the month, Landmark Estate Agency Services' predicted listings and SSTC data indicate a solidly normal month in the property market. With listings heading toward 150k (compared to 151k last February) and SSTC at 112k (up from 108k last February), this represents a 4% improvement. Following last week’s higher-than-expected inflation figures, the mortgage market has adjusted its forecast, reducing the number of expected rate cuts for the rest of 2025 from four to two, as noted by research from Landbay. Additionally, a recent report from IRN Legal Reports reveals a 15% decline in the number of conveyancers in England and Wales, dropping from over 13,000 to 11,140 between September 2021 and January 2025. This reduction reflects some of the challenges faced by the legal side of the property market. This week also saw the release of the latest Land Registry House Price Index for December 2024, revealing a £12,000 increase in average property values across the year. Well its nearly time for our first networking event of 2025! We meet up next Wednesday 22nd January from 9am. This morning we held our last First for Networking event of the year. Another great meeting and more new faces joining us. Today was also the final day for our Christmas Selection Box appeal.
