Fix Radio - the UK’s only national radio station for builders - now reaches 589,630 tradespeople every week, representing a 593% increase in audience size since acquiring our national licence in May 2022 👊🧡 Analysed and compiled by Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data and analytics, the Builders’ Station boasts 27 average weekly listening hours. As we get closer to a new landmark of 600,000 listeners, over one-in-six workers in the construction industry now listen to the station as we continue to deliver top-quality entertainment for our audience. Now in its seventh year of broadcast, Fix Radio was born from CEO and founder Louis Timpany finding a gap in the market for a radio station aimed towards tradespeople. With many builders and tradespeople feeling uninspired by the monotonous music choices played on mainstream media outlets and excessive spoken content, Louis launched the radio station to tap into this niche market, vowing never to play the same song twice. Louis Timpany comments on the record growth of the station: “More tradespeople are tuning in every day, to Fix Radio, to enjoy our blend of music, site banter and trade content. “Our record audience size and industry-leading listening hours prove that tradespeople across the UK value what we’ve created. We’ll continue to come up with creative ways to engage our listeners and grow our audience, even beyond earth’s atmosphere."

Starting out in the trades isn’t just about mastering tools and techniques - it’s also about gaining the skills that will carry you forward, both on and off the job. That’s why Fix Radio and Citroën Vans have teamed up to support three apprentices by helping them learn to drive, giving them a key skill to boost their independence and careers.🚐 Our three apprentices have been selected, and over the coming months, we’ll be following their driving journey and sharing regular updates as they work toward getting their driving licenses.
