Flowcopter's heavy lift cargo drone, the FC100 takes flight. Last week, we successfully completed flight trials of the FC100, our low-cost, long-endurance heavy lift cargo UAS. With the capacity to carry 100kgs for over 100kms, our mission is to replace helicopters in shore-to-ship and remote logistics operations, at a fraction of the cost. With further flight trails, capability demonstrations and continued production planned in 2025, we are looking forward to a busy year. About us
Flowcopter was born out of the need for robust, heavy-payload VTOL platforms with long endurance, in markets traditionally requiring helicopters such as offshore logistics and humanitarian aid. Current battery-electric drones, with their short range and motors sensitive to extreme environments, cannot yet meet this need. Our hybrid platform can reduce emissions by displacing helicopters today, at a fraction of the cost.

It was a pleasure for Flowcopter to host Scotland's Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes and Acting Energy Secretary Gillian Martin today. Flowcopter was chosen as the venue to launch the Scottish Government's Green Industrial Strategy which focusses on growth and investment in five priority areas, including the offshore wind economy. It was a great opportunity for us to talk about the huge potential of Flowcopter's cargo drone to improve efficiency in the offshore wind sector in Scotland and beyond. With a 200kg payload and a 200km range, our FC100 cargo drone will enable offshore wind farms to reduce turbine downtime as well as increase renewable energy output. #offshorewind #renewables #flowcopter #scottishgovernment

Is this the future of heavy lift drones? Flowcopter aims to address a significant challenge in deploying drones for extended offshore missions. Smaller drones lack the weight and battery life needed to endure harsh conditions, while gas-powered engines struggle with the rapid adjustments required for rotor flight. Flowcopter LTD's solution is a long-distance, heavy-lift drone equipped with hydraulic motors that precisely control spin rates. The platform is driven by Digital Displacement® transmission technology, offering a solution that is lighter, and lower cost than an equivalent electric transmission. #drones #autonomy #oildandgas

A successful few days at the @EnBW and @DLR Offshore Drone Challenge. It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to showcase our FC100 Utility UAV in front of leading #offshorewind operators and industry figures. The offshore wind sector is one in which we know our new class of aircraft can make a real difference. With it's 100kg payload capacity and 200km range, it offers a commercially viable heavy lift solution now, that will help significantly reduce O&M cost and increase uptime for operators. Many thanks to EnBW for making it such a great event. #flowcopter #heavylift UAV #offshore #offshorewind #EnBW #DLR #renewables

We are finally flying outdoors! It's been really amazing to see Flowcopters progress over the last two years going from an extremly crude demonstration platform to a full featured drone flying at UAS Denmark Test Center in Hans Christian Andersen Airport in Odense. This was one of a batch of three built over the last year to move towards production readyness. A big thanks you to all the team in Odense including Michael Larsen and Jens Anker Nielsen for all the help. #heavylift #uav #drones #hybriduav #UAM #Odense #logistics #Flowcopter

Flowcopter have demonstrated their heavylift utility UAV, the FC100, in outdoor flight trials at the UAS Denmark Test Center at Hans Christian Andersen Airport in Odense. The FC100 was born out of the need for robust, heavy payload uncrewed platforms with greater endurance, in markets traditionally requiring helicopters such as search and rescue, remote/offshore logistics and humanitarian aid. “We are returning home with our technical readiness tests completed and will be implementing a design freeze to share this model with several interested clients,” says Technical Director at Flowcopter, Uwe Stein. Hans Christian Andersen Airport is a world-class location for the testing and development of drone technologies with the Flowcopter flight team being based at the Test Center over the course of a week of flight testing. “We are happy and proud that Flowcopter has chosen HCA Airport and UAS Denmark Test Centre as its European test base. It underlines that we can offer a strong combination of good test facilities and easy access to getting your drone in the air,” says Michael Larsen, Head of UAS Denmark Test Centre. Flowcopter’s novel technology uses a lightweight hydraulic drive train already proven in harsh environments. The team have now moved past their prototype testing and have frozen the design to enter production with the company already receiving strong interest from customers in different vertical markets including offshore wind farm operations, agriculture and urban air mobility (UAM). #flowcopter #heavylift #UAS #UAM #internationaldroneshow #odense https://lnkd.in/ebWGHwwm

Spot the dog and Robot meet our Drone! After successfully lifting a 110kg payload and conducting a 1-hour continuous test flight, Flowcopter is now ready to explore various cargo solutions for our FC100 platform. Underslung loads are likely to be the preferred option for most applications, but further automation will be necessary in some instances. The ability to autonomously deliver robots to remote, hard to reach locations offers a range of new solutions. https://lnkd.in/eaA2XBR5

Wellbeing Economy Secretary Neil Gray visited drone manufacturer Flowcopter LTD to see its FC100 unmanned aerial vehicle, being developed with almost £1 million funding through Scottish Enterprise. The drone uses a new type of hydraulic power to lift up to 100kg and fly for hours. It can move cargo to areas which are difficult to access, and can also be used for offshore wind operations, crop dusting and search and rescue. The innovative aircraft runs on less aviation fuel than a helicopter, cutting emissions and supporting Scotland’s transition to net zero. Find out more ➡ https://bit.ly/Flowcopter
