Even then women were applying to become Racing drivers and that was well before social media. On Thursday December 12th FW made history at The Dubai Autodrome. 38 women from 25 countries across the globe qualified for the forthcoming 2025 FW Nations Cup. I founded Formula Woman back in 2004 ….realising a slot in the Motorsport calendar for Woman was required I did something about it. I didn’t realise at the time that we were 20 years too soon. In 2019 we we launched FW and set up an expression of interest website. Nearly 5 years on we have over 6000 women registered from 92 countries around the world. All down to the power of social media. 12 of December 2024 will certainly be a day to remember. Let’s see what 2025 brings as FW moves from strength to strength…..
