This week, Claire Weddle had the opportunity to speak at the Hinckley & Bosworth Protected Learning Time (PLT) event, a fantastic chance for healthcare professionals to step away from their day-to-day roles and focus on learning about key issues. With over 190 GPs, nurses, paramedics, social prescribers, pharmacists, and support staff in attendance, Claire shared insights into Freeva’s services, including our referral pathways, MARAC, and how we address domestic and sexual violence. Following the main session, Claire ran a ‘masterclass’ on domestic violence, focusing on Coercive Control, Financial Abuse, and Risk Assessments. The response was fantastic, with attendees really engaging with the content and showing a real commitment to understanding and tackling these critical issues. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to such a valuable conversation. Together, we can continue working towards safer, more supportive communities for everyone.
