The session will provide a concise update on the alterations to post-death costs in light of the practice note issued by the Senior Courts Costs Office (SCCO) in May 2024. Paul will examine the complexities that arise when a deputy engages in general management activities prior to their formal appointment, along with strategies to ensure full cost recovery. In addition, Paul will offer insights into the current processing times at the SCCO and discuss the ramifications for legal practitioners. Paul will also be sharing essential strategies on navigating the challenges posed by this year's legislative updates, with a focus on ensuring that deputies receive equitable compensation for their services.
