Thanks again to the folks at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (Michelin, Scottish Enterprise and Dundee City Council) for their support with the Innovation Challenge 2 and use of one of their Labs as we started to build the Frisco e-Bikes and Solar Docks Mark 1 Prototype of our e-Bikes. Our Co-Directors Ken Hoskins and Janet Hoskins took part in an onsite photoshoot with Scottish Enterprise Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc 📷 We used this frame as part of a show + tell tour during focus groups earlier in the year when we met with local key employers. We've covered a lot of ground since both in terms of product and service development. The NHS Health Boards are interested in procuring fully funded renewable energy solutions through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), which may include the installation of various technologies on #NHS Scotland sites or supplied from off-site installations via private wire. It's been a busy week of events! Last week we returned to #everythingelectric organised by FullyCharged.SHOW & Everything Electric to attend the #micromobility session. Fascinating talks on #electric battery technology, in addition to the challenges of prioritizing spatial planning decisions for electric mobility needs. We also attended the Innovate UK Navigating the funding landscape of Micromobility (available on demand here: https://lnkd.in/exARCYhv) On our horizons is the upcoming Active City Leicester Conference - Creating vibrant and healthy places. In 2023, Leicester City Council was rated by Active Travel England as one the highest performing local authorities in the first ever Government review of active travel infrastructure and support. https://lnkd.in/em62DM7c What micromobility events are on your horizons?

An appreciation post to say a big thank you to the team at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, Scottish Enterprise, and Dundee City Council who have provided such invaluable support as part of the MSIP Innovation Challenge 2 whilst based in the innovation labs.   As with all start-ups, we’ve had to manage some significant “bumps in the road” but being part of the MSIP community has helped to progress our business offering of the Frisco e-BikesTM and Frisco Solar DocksTM.   Our new registered address is firmly in Dundee at the Vision Building, Greenmarket. Over the next months we are gearing up to fulfil our vision of providing a place-based #micromobility service locally, with the big goal of calling MSIP our Frisco HQ Home in the near future: a space to test our e-Bikes and Solar Docks prior to deployment in the UK and overseas. #cityofdiscovery #micromobility #startup #sustainabletravel #community

It was great to be at the Energy Technology Partnership (ETP) Transition Innovation Showcase on Friday at the fantastic University of Glasgow Advanced Research Centre. With co-founders Ken Hoskins and Janet Hoskins working on the prototype, it was Dr Jennifer Rao-Williams who took part in a #2minute pitch alongside 14 other companies detailing the developments of their innovation and support needs. This years exhibitor stand included information on employer highlights, flyers and links to our most recent press releases. Next event could well include a Frisco e-Bike #prototype! Happy Frisco Friday!! 🚲🚲🚲 What a week it's been for Frisco e-Bikes and Solar Docks here at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc ▶Three focus groups completed ▶ Expression of Interests by local employers being reviewed and approved ▶ Semi-Finalists in the Founders360 Green Pitch ▶ Preparing for our next exhibition + pitch at next Friday's at the Energy Technology Partnership (ETP) at University of Glasgow Advanced Research Centre What we've found most valuable in all of this has been the opportunity to create and build on our connections with local employers and investors at this stage in the journey, whilst early stage - the wheels are very much spinning in Lab 12! A Big Frisco Thanks to everyone that contributed to the focus groups this week! 🌿👏🏼 Frisco e-Bikes and Solar Docks ran three focus groups with employers from Aberdeen, Dundee and Tayport at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc this week. The focus groups were designed to gain perspective on how solar e-bikes support the reduction of #scope3 climate emissions and contribution to place-based sustainable transport solutions at a city level. As part of the sessions, we asked attendees to map out where they would position a fleet of 500 e-bikes*. Many suggested the routes across the #riverside hospitals and universities in addition to areas along the kingsway serving local communities as well as employees. Dundee, the city of discovery with more hours of sunshine than any other Scottish city alongside growing recognition for its investment in #evinfrastructure makes this an ideal base to call our HQ home! *500 bikes might seem like a lot but did you know Central Station in Rotterdam has a bike hub for 5,190 bikes!
