  • Dr Khaled Ahmed, Site Director at FutureMeds Birmingham, was recently handpicked as one of eight experts across the globe in a sponsor-led working group – proudly representing Team GB.    This working group has been devised for 2025 and onwards to shape the future of clinical trial diversity and community engagement from a trial-agnostic point of view.    “I didn’t realise we at FutureMeds Birmingham have made so much progress in this area, whereas others are only exploring initiatives that my team have already trialled and tested,” commented Dr Khaled Ahmed on his experience.    During the sessions, the group explored in detail:  - Community expectations from trial sponsors and study sites  - Listening to participant perspectives to inform trial design  - Developing funding application streams for more diverse recruitment  - The impact of AI in 21st-century clinical research  - Community engagement best practices—what’s working and what isn’t    “Being part of this esteemed group and the discussions reaffirm that the work we do can serve as a blueprint. It’s exciting to see our forward-thinking approach can shape best practices worldwide.”    We couldn’t be prouder of Khaled's work and his pioneering solutions that can benefit diverse patient communities across the globe.    #ClinicalTrials #ClinicalResearch Disclaimer: The picture below is from a previous, different sponsor event.
