The Canadian province of #Alberta is one of the most agriculturally productive regions in the world, yet new #farmers face many obstacles. At the University of Alberta, Aleksandra Tymczak is studying what motivates people to start #beekeeping or #berry farming, exploring the importance of sharing knowledge, and investigating how to break down the barriers that new farmers face. https://lnkd.in/egkEHEFU

Iron is crucial for many #biological functions, but maintaining its balance in the body is a complex challenge. Dr Kostas Pantopoulos from McGill University, in Canada, and his former PhD student Dr Edouard Charlebois, PhD, use mouse models to investigate #iron regulation and its implications for human health.
