Kicking off our campaign for the 21st BAFTA Games Awards, BAFTA has launched a poll asking the industry, players and public an almost 'impossible' question: What's the most influential game of all time?
Now, that's a BIG question - and we know that ‘most influential’ can mean very different things to each of us and so many games could be very worthy contenders for that supreme title.
There are games that have birthed genres, defined eras, or set new standards for innovation, gameplay or storytelling. Games whose influence resonates throughout broader culture and games that have a huge influence on us personally, or bring us together in astounding ways.
And that's the point - we want this massive question to help create a conversation about how incredible games influence our lives, industry and society. And we're excited to have some very famous faces who'll be sharing their thoughts with us all over the weeks ahead.
